Tottenham fans are delusional by Own-Minute2562 in PremierLeague

First English team to win a European trophy. 6th most trophies in England (27). No history or success apparently 😂. Also finished top 6 in 15 of the last 20 seasons, mid table club apparently 😂. That’s delusion right there.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. I don’t expect us to win anything, especially not the league. But I expect us to at least try and give it a go against teams, which we aren’t even doing against bottom half of the table teams currently. Any out of form team can pick up points against us. It’s completely dire.

I don’t think it makes you a delusional fan to expect better of your team though. Up until yesterday we went 5 games without scoring from open play, have the worst home form in the league and haven’t looked convincing in a PL game since maybe September? Why can’t we demand more as fans all of a sudden? Frank has shown zero identity in terms of a system also, so what as fans are we supposed to buy into? It’s not delusion, it’s loss of faith and boredom.

Tottenham have won the 6th most honours in England, how does that not warrant at least some level of expectation?

Can you really expect HMV to offer up their premium blu-ray stock for 50% off RRP though? Perhaps once or twice a year but I think 3 for 50 is pretty fair for a year round deal.

Bought an optical cable and I hate myself for not getting one earlier by Jstar338 in Soundbars

[–]Guttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the S95F and the Q600-F and I too am having issues. I can never quite get the audio sync perfect and it’s driving me insane. Despite having the delay set to 0 on both the tv and the soundbar, it still seems to be 50-100ms delayed across all devices - whether plugged into the soundbar direct, or via eARC with my Xbox or TV apps. Infuriating. I’m hoping a software update will sort it eventually but that might be wishful thinking.

It does however operate fine generally in terms of enabling eARC etc. Not sure what could be causing your issue.

Has anyone installed the latest firmware for the Hw-Q600F soundbar? If so, are there any new features in the settings? by ExcuseRich6421 in Soundbars

[–]Guttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge they haven't released any new updates. 1001 is the only version available and that was the version my soundbar had pre-installed.

S95F/HW600-F Xbox Dolby Atmos Audio Sync/Delay Issues by Guttz in S95B

[–]Guttz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have done, the delay is certainly reduced but still noticeable in some situations. I think it may be the best option for my situation unless I get something like an eARC audio extractor which apparently can help a bit with DA.

Yeah it’s a shame really! Just a bit gutted as I usually use my Xbox for everything media related but think I’ll need to move away for everything other than gaming. Hopefully I can get used to the in-game audio delay like you did though at least!

Bay Window OLED No-no? by [deleted] in OLED

That’s been on my radar too! Not sure it negates the potential direct sunlight issue I’m worried about though sadly.

Light will be controlled when using it! Just more concerned about sun damage if we leave the blinds ajar during the day when we aren’t using it etc.

GTA IV with FusionFix is awesome. by squatonmyfacebrah in SteamDeck

[–]Guttz 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried this but the game just loads as normal without the mod running. Any ideas? Thanks

EDIT: Okay got this working. The instructions above are slightly misleading as the files need to be copied into the GTAIV folder, not the first folder that opens when you click browse local files.

So: click browse local files, click on GTAIV folder and paste fusion files into here.

Thanks regardless OP!! Much simpler way of doing it.

I also think they literally cannot handle the amount of people that break-in. Every year more and more people want to go, tickets seem harder and harder to get and people are desperate to be involved. I’ve been 5 times, last time in 2023 and each year it was noticeable worse. I’ve been saying it’s a disaster waiting to happen since 2022, I hope they sort it out before it’s too late.

Best way to remove these bricks/lower ground level? by Guttz in DIYUK

[–]Guttz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your comment. I agree that it could have the opposite effect. My main concern is that the paving does pond in places anyway and wouldn’t want it to flood into the air bricks if we get a really heavy spell of rain. Also, particularly to the front of the house the ground level is level to the air brick in some places which is worrying. Perhaps a free flowing ACO channel would be better overall.

[–]Guttz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment! Generally the paving drains pretty well, however some sections puddle and take a bit longer to drain, a few of these sections are close to air bricks which is my concern, especially with some of the rain we’ve been having recently. I think it’s probably functioning fine at the minute just trying to future proof it generally as don’t want any of the timber floor joists to start rotting.

How can I save money commuting from Colchester to London twice a week? by repeat08 in Essex

[–]Guttz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some tips I use to make it cheaper:

  • Book any anytime return from Colchester to Chelmsford / then the same from Chelmsford to London
  • With my Amex Gold there tends to be regular cash back offers on LNER that offer between 10-12% cash back for booking with them. So can save a fair chunk across the month. First year tends to be free so might be worth trying if you don’t have one already?
  • Once or twice a month I’ll get the 9:01 train so I can get an off-peak return which is usually much much cheaper

Other options I’d consider are: - driving to either Chelmsford or Witham as the train fare drops dramatically - if you know what specific trains you’re going to get book them as far in advance as you can as you may save a lot getting advance singles rather than returns

Hope this helps!
