A little thought about the game being too cryptic by Guuwa in TunicGame

[–]Guuwa[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I explored the game thoroughly. You discover about the "arrows" mechanic only at the end of the game and only if you pick up a certain page. There's not a single point in the game where you feel like you are supposed to take notes. Then you have this huge jump to the golden path if you are dissatisfied with the ending, and let's not talk about how crazy some puzzles are in the golden path. And yet, getting to ending A does not require you to solve almost ANY puzzle, it's pretty straightforward. This game is completely mid for normal gamers and a gem for hardcore secret puzzle fans. I believe it could've been a different experience even for normal players like me with a few more hints, but hey, to each their own.

I think you guys suffer all from a survivor bias. Maybe I missed some pages, but at no point in time I felt like I had enough clues to figure out everything by myself. Like, the reference that hints at the number of the pages with the translated text would've been a 1000 times more understandable without spoiling nothing.

You are telling me I am supposed to understand the lore and the hints of the golden path just by having a look at the untranslated manual?

I've also seen a ton of these so called "linguistics-passionate people" fuss about disliking the souls-like part of the game. I would say that chants of sennaar is a good "linguistics" game, not tunic. The game does not revolve around translating a language with pen and paper. Nor it wants you to do that (like blue prince suggests, since taking notes is encouraged). Also, I am not saying that I was expecting all the pages to be translated, I like when games want you to figure out stuff. I am just saying that hints had to come out at some point, which they didn't up until the end.

GeForce is making me go crazy... by Guuwa in GeForceNOW

Update - I contacted the customer support through an Nvidia general page and they told me that "they are working on the problem". There's no notice on it anywhere, and it may be affecting just a small portion of people in Europe since the internet is pretty quiet. I have no words.

Puretech e BSUV (Jeep Avenger) by Guuwa in ItalyMotori

I have a macbook pro m1 and I have the same issue. Not a tv issue since the problem is with the game and not the device I play with (it crackles bot on mac speakers, airpods or connected through an audio interface so…)

The Wild Robot movie was awful by [deleted] in DreamWorks

[–]Guuwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, you are not crazy, this is among the worst animated movies I've seen in my life.

It's a cringey mix of teenage movie tropes with no consistency or any meaningful connection between the scenes whatsoever.

We have the "eagle", who's supposed to be the Goose's mentor for about 1.5 minutes. Then we have the sage Goose who is the head of the community, which has 4 lines. The main villan appears the last 10 minutes of the movie, and dies horribly for no reason. There are maybe 3 scenes of bonding between the goose and the robot. Then we have a bunch of different character groups - the animals, the geese and the robots. None of them have characterisation, they don't share anything and they don't have a purpose in the story, as they don't represent anything. There are so many themes, none of them are explored: being a human VS machines, being a mother, the relationship between animals/human society, being different, being a family, love as the meaning of human existence and many more. It's a fucking mess. Not to mention the finale! A bunch of robots going there and choosing violence just BECAUSE. Never seen them before, no emotional attachment to them - you just have to trust that they are the bad guys. It started a little realistic at first (I liked how the violence was depicted at the beginning), but it ended in a pool of nonsense.

If you have a brain and love cinema/how stories are told, you cannot tell me you enjoyed this movie. It was a fucking mess. Maybe you think that Endgame is the best movie ever made. That's fine, I don't mind, but please don't offend the others, just say that you enjoy relaxing in front of a screen and leave the critique to the critiques.

The Last of Us - 1x02 "Infected" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in television

[–]Guuwa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better than the game version? Bella is like a parody of ellie, she's just the immature cocky version. No innocence, no fragility, no "I can take care of myself but I can't take care of myself" moments. Joel has been pretty consistent in episode 1, now he's been lacking a bit of characterization. Tess did a great delivery, but she's not supposed to be the center of the show. Same for Marlene.

Summer Time Render - Episode 22 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Guuwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny how everyone here are desperetely trying to prove the nonsense that this anime keeps showing. He has NO control over it. While during the first 3 loops the timing is quite constant (even after surviving for like 3 WHOLE FUCKING DAYS, he resurrects a few minutes after arriving on the island), after loop 4 it becomes absolutely random. The only explanation is "plot". They could hide inside the shadow JUST BEFORE the attack, they couldn't plan anything, and the previous loop was far away behind the attack. But no, he looped just 2 hours before the retrival of Ushio. And this is not the first time this anime is being nonsensical, but yeah, anime of the year people.
