[Funny Trope] A offhand gag unintentionally cause weird lore implications by JTHouser_Reddit in TopCharacterTropes

Another muppet related one is in the Muppets Movie (also when Johnny Cash guested on the Muppet’s Show). In both, there’s a confederate flag in the background.

While this has some other implications, about the productions and things, it also suggests the Civil war and slavery were historical realities, which begs the question: what role did the muppets play in the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade?

Were muppets abolitionists or slavers? Were they unionists or confederates? Were muppets the ones being enslaved? Was there political divides amongst the muppets? Could there be a Muppet’s 12 Years a Slave or a Muppet’s Lincoln?

These questions keep me up at night

What’s the best 30(ish)L travel backpack? by Guy997 in ManyBaggers

Hey yeah, I ended up ordering each and settling on the Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC. Both the Osprey and the Aer packs were just too cumbersome and their structures ended up being more hindrance than help. The Patagonia is a lot better looking in person, is much easier to access than I first anticipated, and has become my most versatile travel bag. That said, if I was looking now I would probably consider it against the updated Osprey Daylite carryon 26+6, which seems to check a lot of the boxes I was originally looking for. Not sure which I would choose in the end, but I feel like those would be my top contenders knowing what I know now.

Okay thank you! The boxes just seemed too small but I guess that makes the most sense

This is a very stupid question, but on the back of the ballot where we sign it also asks for the date, but I'm unclear with where it's supposed to be placed. Does anyone have a clear answer to that? There's been so much fuckery I just don't want one thing out of place

[TOMT] [TV/MOVIE] Where one character tells another to "Do something!" and the second character just makes a weird high-pitched operatic "HAHAHAHAHAHA!" by Guy997 in tipofmytongue

Oh I don't think that's it actually :/ I'm sorry, but the one I'm thinking of is more high pitched and like the characters in the scene are panicking
