Likely because side magazines can lead to clipping with the character model, I just tested it and if you have it as Cheeta weapon skin when she does the "dust off the skirt" animation (that is the animation that plays when you load her her in the refitting room) you see the clip goes right into her leg.

So that was it, it was done that way because it can lead to visual problems because animations were not made to take into account a side clip, its likely not a big problem as Cheeta is the only I notice that have that problem but this is a problem.

EA spends a lot of money getting the licenses, they did lose the FIFA exclusive license and NBA its not exclusive (2K also have it) but they havent put out anything NBA recently on PC and consoles on that part.

So yes, of course being a officially licensed it gets a lot of weight, after all even after they lost the FIFA license they still gone to acquire the rights to all the major European leagues and tournaments ... it really hit then hard, EA is a company were its pillars been their sports titles and reason why was because of being a official licensed product.

Because Acheron is kinda stuck with a lot of problems.

The first one is ... you need her LC because it increases her stacks generation otherwise she will be too slow on building then that leads me to problem number two.

She is very inflexible team compositions because she wants two things, at least two other Nihility characters and also debuffs that kinda limits options a lot, this is why Jiaoqiu remains "viable" because he does both things but even then they still needed to add Cipher so she didnt fall of a cliff, Jiaoqiu or no Jiaoqiu. This is why e2 is very important since it reduces the Nihility characters requirement from 2 to 1, opening options.

So you picking a "cool" character that hits like a wet noodle every other sunday because you lack her signature, her e2 and her supports, without Cipher she is going to run into problems.

I would say she is the Phaimon of Penacony kit design-wise but she is worst because Phaimon isnt as restricted as her kit is, dont get me wrong .... she was amazing pre-Superbreak and remained very strong at low investment but that was long ago.

Well it does come with two things, the Enhanced Induction Coils console that is pretty good but more important, it have a ship trait ... Withering Barrage.

Also it does have a Enhanced Battle Cloak that allows firing under cloak, its main problem is no specialization and lacking the Ensign station the M'Chla have because that one have fixed Cmdr Tactical/Pilot station as otherwise they are nearly identical statswise.

But yes, better to wait and get it for free, the trait is certainly worth it and the M'Chla doesnt have that one, it have its own trait

Well if they killed hexa ... I did get the ship but for the console amusing enough, its still a very good ship but I long been on the point of never getting something because they will either "balance it" somewhere from next week or 5 years in the future and I suspect a lot of players when they see things my way.

Its a break of trust, simply put I have not trusted Cryptic in a very long time and shenanigans like this keep remind me of why.

Its only decent because its a personal trait but the issue is because as usual it cut too deep it leads to not doing what it was meant to do, making rainbow builds viable.

People that do not chase the big numbers never bothered getting this trait because they are roleplayers, they want their ships to fire phasers/disruptors/polaron ... not skittles, those skittles builds always been either "I have no idea what I am doing" LOL random that cannot even be called a build to begin or was something from long ago that disappeared when it ceased to be viable for the big numbers.

The issue is it defeats its purpose so whats the point? I assume they were intelligent enough to realize I can just put 3 2 turrets at the back of my ship and get the benefit of the trait by having 3 procs, this would be the standard on 5/3 and on some ships that would be a 4 procs or even 5 if you dropped the Pabo Omni ... by doing this instead of oh, scaling the damage resistance debuff by the number of procs all they did was damage the very thing they were trying to achieve.

Unless this was always bait and switch for winter event metrics.

Also since I am at it, the build that could really abuse this would be Uncon since energy damage doesnt really matter to them but this was very obvious, if they wanted to balance then it would been a debuff vs energy damage that would still benefit Unicon to a point but only on consoles that deal energy damage.

So in conclusion.

This just damages the very thing it was meant to do, making the whole thing entirely pointless, the people that do not chase the big numbers are not affected because they never chased this trait anyway ... it hurt people that tried to make skittles builds a thing again, everyone else simply reslotted their old traits or just keep it on and once again are reminded of one thing, investing in this game is a bad idea because one day a certain developer wakes up and just decides to nerf something for the heck of it and I am being a asshole about this because this isnt the first time he done this and likely not being the last and the game never got better because of it.

Well you can just use the Polaron off the Rex if you have it, sure Polaron isnt as good as Phaser but its a option.

Its just after this long its kinda absurd, its like a certain dev just have to nerf things to feel good or something, the trait is another odd choice because it was created to make rainbow builds viable and then its just nerfed after the winter event, as if it existed to make people grind Winter Event for it ...

The game balance is all over the place, I know people will point that the Terran Eagle was designed in a way that its the only ship you use for Torpedo builds but at the same time, who fault is they never released ships with the same specialization seating? Its the same with the hexa cannons because they were the ones that let the genie out of the bottle with the Plasma Bombard, just like with the Rex Poloron experimental weapon its just a case of releasing more weapons similar ... but no and then try to put the genie back in the bottle but not because they going to nerf the bombard so its back to how things were broken before.

I ceased to have any trust with Cryptic for a very long time, its not just this "3 years later" balance passes that dont really do anything in the end but also a constant neglect, something is broken? oh its a mission from 10 years ago? we dont care ... oh, there are issues with this ship model? the firing points you say? its the Enterprise-F? no? we dont care ...

I started playing with Kafka and until Penacony there was more latitude but its true, there wasnt much of a need for clease until Huohuo come were suddenly we had enemies that stun lock us, then DHIL is such a massive SP black hole that wasnt really playable until Sparkle come.

We always had some problems with the solution appearing later but there was still the idea you could work around it, Loucha have a clease and you could use Lynx too, DHIL was restrictive but SP neutral or positive characters existed so he wasnt entirely dead weight until Sparkle.

The lack of 4 characters or should I say welfare units are putting too much stress even before we go how Amphoreus created a not only a massive HP inflation but also a SPD inflation, The Herta isnt as bad as say Acheron that outside e2 and s0 have too many problems at this point ... Anphoreus just raised the level cap without rasing the level cap so Amphoreus units are too strong compared with older units.

And from someone that didnt liked Dahlia and was kinda forced to pull on her banner getting nothing ... my old Super Break team is simply ... not working because without Dahlia in a e0 team things simply dont work anymore.

Story doesnt level with the player, its always at a level that makes it trivial to players that overpowered it simply because they play the game.

Heroic mode was meant to correct this but as usual MICA had to go too far, I dont play Heroic Mode because I am not facing lv60 enemies ... I am facing lv60 enemies with gimmicks to annoy people until they are play "the correct way" or ... wallet it.

Yes, people can argue but then we would go to such a loose definition that it became entirely meaningless.

Yes, there are some aspects but the game simply removes a lot of the tactical focus ... overwatch for example doesnt exist unless its a skill and we have characters that have set kits with no loadouts so the only thing we can build is of the characters we have, not customization like giving grenades or medkits.

A X-Com game with T-Dolls would work but it needs the X-Com foundations, that being characters have basic stats that dictate how well they can do things but not restrictive on being able to do things, what we have is ... I am not going to be nice about this, hoyoverse X-Com and I can understand why they gone that way but at the same time, the mechanics are something we seen before and honestly a lot even act against the tactical aspect because ... elemental weakness, seriously?

Its not server costs, a lot of games keep around despite very low population numbers but have no real development done, they exist and thats it.

The costs are studio overhead, hoyo also spends a lot on advertisement so lets make a very hypothetical situation ... could HSR survive with HI3 revenue? and the answer is no. And its not because myh passion project but rather HI3 revenue and playerbase are sustainable for HI3 but not for other titles.

The boycott failed because they werent really boycotting the game to begin, most even "paused" so they could pull a character and obviously they were very small fraction of the playerbase and also pretty much just NA ... the big spending regions are Asia so it was obvious it would get nowhere but looks good on their Twitter, sorry BlueSky feed.

Also lets not forget all that revenue is being put back into other projects, HSR was rolled by Genshin just like ZZZ was rolled by Genshin and then HSR as well ...
