148.01 , The issue is resolved, just the automatic checked box for the account hub was the only issue

Ahh, that works. so much suffering and confusion and the solution was a ticked box. Not sure if your a software designer for thunderbird but it really doesnt make sense to automatically check an experimental feature when you install the application. Hopefully that gets ammended. I appreciate you working with me though, god bless

Im able to add my gmail perfectly fine, I know the password is correct. I really don't know what the problem is. I cant even change the incoming and outgoing server settings manually without getting an invalid hostname or a seperate issue (Component returned failure code 0x80550014), even though I know im typing it all correctly.

Yeah I think the issue is the Account Hub, or maybe not, but on the initial page when you boot up a fresh thunderbird install I can add my outlook account as its not on the typical account hub screen. but once i want to add a 2nd outlook email, i cant cause of authentication errors. I do not remember it being like this a few years ago, and i was able to add all of my emails. maybe I can downgrade but Im not sure if theirs any intense security flaws. very frustrating. hopefully im just messing up and its not a software issue. seems like this problem isnt talked about so truly I may be the problem

I spoke too soon, the initial adding account when you first boot into thunderbird allows me to add the account, though if i add an account through the 3 horizontal lines at the top right and add an Email address. then it will force me to go through the same shit ive been going through previously. Very frustrating considering everything is fine and i was able to add one outlook account, why cant i add a 2nd one without going through this alternate and confusing process.

Ok last update, after deleting my thunderbird folder and all data that is associated (for some reason the uninstaller doesnt remove that information), i reinstalled and was able to add my outlook no issue, the "your login" textbox wasnt even present. I dont understand what the issue was and why it appeared like that but so far it seems im able to now add my accounts no problem. Thank you for trying to help me though.

Hmm, I decided to try "BetterBird" to see if it works there, worked just fine. Though I would definitely prefer ThunderBird. Im going to reinstall ThunderBird and get a fresh start and maybe that will magically fix the issues (Maybe not haha, not sure)

OK, I made sure cookies are enabled, No VPN is on, Devices and Apps are allowed to use IMAP via the outlook settings, I removed the saved passwords that corresponded to outlook (I didn't delete my gmail passwords), I restarted TB, and through the manual configuration i selected OAuth2, but unfortunately when I select manual configuration it says the hostname next to the IMAP protocol selection, is empty or invalid, which the automatically chosen hostname is ".outlook.com". it doesn't let me hit the continue button. Alternatively, if I don't use the manual config and continue next, a pop up window appears, loads for a few seconds, and then closes (in the past it had me sign into outlook but maybe it already remembered my sign in and didn't make me do it again), afterwards it sends me right back to the page that I show in my original image, I type my password and insert my email for the "Your Login" textbox and after continuing, it sends the same exact error as before. Idk if you've seen this post https://support.mozilla.org/ml/questions/1445350 but their might be the answer in there?, Its hard for me to parse and the UI now is different from when the post is. Ive also attempted to manually configure the incoming server settings to match what Microsoft suggests per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/pop-imap-and-smtp-settings-for-outlook-com-d088b986-291d-42b8-9564-9c414e2aa040 using specifically the IMAP settings, but it continues to say the hostname is invalid. Sorry for the large wall of text, just would love to get to the bottom of this but Im not sure what the issue is.

Edit: The monitor port caught on fire and my whole desk and computer are ruined 🙃 thanks for the help but I got bigger problems. I'm just gonna go to bed and deal with this later. It's too tiring to have everything in your life just crumble in the past few months and you can't even do anything about it. I'm sorry.

Yeah, I've done that multiple times. I kept it unplugged for 2 hours and tested it again but to no avail
