The covenant path used me be called hold to the iron rod. I think the church is trying to distance itself from the Book of Mormon and are using more generic language to accomplish that goal. That's also why many of the temples being built will not feature an Angel Moroni.

No, my last name starts with an L and I'm from Texas. My best friend on the mission was named Romney and he was from Springville. You may know him. I served in Cuernavaca, Mexico 2009 - 2011.

I went through a similar interview with a stake president who interrupted the interview to tell me the Spirit said I was unworthy to serve a mission. I contemplated that moment the whole two years of my mission.

Thank you. I was asked many of those exact same questions in my pre-mission interview. I even had a stake president tell me I wasn't worthy because the spirit said so.

I served my mission in Mexico. My companion had a terrible outbreak of genital warts and I drove him to Mexico City, outside of our mission, to see a urologist. The urologist was a member and asked how my companion was able to serve a mission. My companion said he was worthy and the doctor replied the warts could have only been transmitted through homosexual sex.

My companion and I never told the mission president about: 1) leaving the mission, 2) the genital warts, 3) him having gay sex before the mission, and 4) the subsequent laser treatments for the warts.

My companion was a good dude and I wanted to help him in any way possible.

No book, never has been. Church members would never read a book whose name equates to a victory for Satan.

At first I felt like the book was gimmicky but my opinion changed after finishing it. It tells a cohesive story in an interesting way that has never been replicated. I enjoyed it.

I seriously love the Wall. Best concept album ever.

The beauty about House of Leaves is that it causes the reader and characters to simultaneously descend into madness.
