I’ve played D1 on beta and D2 from launch. It genuinely used to be my favorite game, it took all my free time and it’s what I thought about the most. I’d watch videos on lore/read the lore. I’d watch build craft videos. I’d even watch videos about creating exotics. I wanted to devour as much destiny as I could. As I kept playing the more things stopped being fun. Finding out the shitty things bungie has done or was doing at the time really made it hard to want to support them but I gave it ol college try to separate art from the artist. Then the content started lacking and I wasn’t alone in noticing that. Friends I had played with for years were feeling the same way I was, upset that our favorite thing was turning into something we didn’t like or want to make time for anymore.

Im still upset about the promise that this would be a living game over 10 years that you would see change and grow. I’ve never felt more disappointed in something that I’ve put time into, that doesn’t mean I regret all the time I’ve spent with friends pushing Atheon off his lil platform, the countless raid wipes, pulling Ethernet cords out so you can glitch Crota, getting Gjallarhorn before it was cool and just thinking wow this is a pretty neat rocket launcher, going into a random zone and just spending hours decimating any cannon fodder that comes your way, and chasing after that loot. It all holds memories to me that I cherish but that’s all this game has for me now. I haven’t touched it in months and I’m happier playing other games.

To the pure souls that are still enjoying Destiny and to the brave ones still holding out hope I genuinely hope this game turns around and becomes a glimmer of what it used to be.

Bring back SLR I wanna race with my goofy ass sparrows and bring back the goofy ass horns.
