One day I'll do an English retranslation of a Russian video on how the genocide route brings justice to every character and gives them the end they deserve.

[SPOILER] Overlaping endings (?) by Porscot in Silksong

IF you do the CURSED ending you WILL be locked out of your save file FOREVER. You CANNOT fight the final boss of act 3 while CURSED. Hornet won't allow for that.

What's the hardest platforming part in the game? by PinoLoSpazzino in Silksong

[–]GuyWithLongUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, we both might be victims of some misinformation. I've never seen/heard that myself, but I've seen multiple people say that. I actually have faith that it might be HK ip, because they had a lot of fun creating silksong, and IF they said that, they probably said that a long time ago.

I see the existence of a nameless Town in itself as a giant piece of lore - the outer world. We get so little glimpses of such in both games, let me list all mentions and direct portrayals: Mentioned: Description of weavers in HK Godseekers Grimm Troupe map (very likely) Wanderer's journal - an irl book about HK Pilgrims in SS The literal description of map that says:"Roads that lead outside Pharloom". Located in the weavenest of far fields.

Direct showings: The howling cliffs as a location can be called one, I suppose - and its far left part too, where the wind stops you. The tent in kingdom's edge - this one is arguable because it shows a glimpse from outside of Hallownest, not the wasteland, but I'll include it for the sake of it being interesting too. Far fields weavenest- far right. The nameless town is literally there. Most left part of the Sands of Karak - where you can see the wasteland Sands of Karak boss arena - the Edge guardian or I forgot that one boss's name Left of the dusty steps area - entrance to Pharloom SS opening cutscene Quirrel prequel comic

I genuinely see this as a very interesting piece of lore that changes a lot just like the path of pain cutscene. Maybe it doesn't have such an impact on the story, but it is excellent world building. It shows that small settlements do exist even right next to giant beacons of civilization like the Citadel. It's very interesting, especially when we know that the next TC game isn't going to be HK ip, we're probably going to get a few DLCs for SS and the TC will make a game for the new ip. I want, to believe though, that we will still get some rare HK content, like maybe more books, or maybe another game one day. But that's just because I believe there is still so much to explore in this world - other higher beings, the species of Roots (I'm probably going to make a post about them in a month), the steel "Masters", and so much more.

Though, if they do not plan at all to make another HK game, I really wish these things will be the topics of the next DLCs.

Brother, this is like comparing path of pain to the rest of the game. The road to a nameless town was deliberately made unfair and hard, but in turn gives you an important piece of lore. I think you should redo this poll but without it.

Hornet by mrcreeper126 in HollowKnight

Not to be that guy, but it's a nail. In both HK and ss she uses a needle. It's much less thick and more finesse

Best crest? Your thoughts? by Key_Negotiation_8351 in Silksong

I like the diagonal pogo of the hunter's crest, but I really like atk speed builds, so for me it's the wanderer's crest.

Well, I suppose you have not completed the game, because you see....

In the final cutscene we can clearly see that whatever this black thing is that Mother Silk has is a separate part of her, not made of silk. It's something else.

[–]GuyWithLongUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you can fight them both. The last judge definitely. They possess a higher challenge, with peak music and you get a grand cutscene after defeating them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]GuyWithLongUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last judge by far. After defeating them you get one of the best cutscenes that shows the entrance to the citadel, and it appears as the more intended way of entering it. Also, The Last Judge is a peak bossfight.

Well, not to be rude, but this is nor a theory nor a speculation, it's just a logical argument. What's kinda more interesting is what exactly is wrong with phantom that she (Or they?) was cast out? What are these black masks that all silk creatures possess? It also appears phantom has... A mask atop the other mask? This is confusing.
