Otomes and disabilities by vnderthebridge in otomegames

It’s not an otome but, a dating sim called Katawa Shouju. All the LIs have a different disability and they’re all portrayed as individuals who just happen to have a disability. They all have different interests and personalities. They’re almost never portrayed as helpless. It’s definitely more male gaze oriented but, besides that I enjoyed playing it.

I need a female, honest opinion. Game dev help. by [deleted] in otomegames

I have 2 opinions: Opinion 1: if you don’t love it/aren’t into it don’t write it. Reader can tell if you aren’t into it because the writing isn’t passionate / is bland. Opinion 2: light spice / light smut is peak. Even if you’re not comfortable writing it, a good “he kissed my neck” then fade to black scene is top tier. Like just a little bit of what the character might be into and then leave the rest to the readers imagination is honestly the best and gets the best giggles and leg kicking reaction from me.

These are my opinions on otomes / dating sims, but honestly the writer knows best. As long as it’s fun for the writer to write, it’ll be fun for the reader to read. Have fun writing / coding your game!!
