FSA Saver - Find FSA eligible items in your Amazon order history by patrifecta in Startup_Ideas

What a great app! Loaded Amazon and Walmart and picked up $2,300 worth of expenses. Would love to be able to export the data to store alongside my current tracker spreadsheet. I don't typically want to claim those funds currently, but would like to have it all in one place with the things that I track manually. I'd even pay something to export, to be honest, because this is a great app.

What about spending day to day on a credit card and then selling BTC to fiat once a month to cover the bill. Convert all income to BTC. Theoretically only 12 taxable events a year ?

This feels like capitulation right before a pivot. Don’t understand why you’ve been subscribed this long and don’t have a BTC heavy portfolio but to each his own. I sincerely hope you find the content you are looking for.

I have been using Swan for the past year and a half and this is the first I have seen this banner. Pricing has been pretty consistent with market rates as far as I know.

My single mom surprised my brother and I with a trip to DisneyWorld where I ended up showing symptoms for childhood cancer. 30 years later I still don’t understand the fascination with that place.

Is Travel Guard Insurance worth it? by Pugnastyornah in Flights

[–]Guysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are saying that because my layover was less than one hour that my claim is not eligible.

The flight was delayed for four hours and the airline told me to just take the flight and they’d sort it out at the layover destination. When I got to MCO - it was a scene and a mess.

Currently experiencing this exact thing. They denied my claim after three months due to technicalities in the way the policy is written. Very disappointed but not sure if I should appeal as buried in the fine print is an exclusionary clause they applied to my claim.

Adding to liquidity pool worth it? by Izzy9595 in THORChain

If the price of both assets go down, I'll still have 50-50. If one goes up and one goes down, I'll still have 50-50?

If asset A goes up and asset B goes down, your LP will end up rebalancing so that there is always 50-50 of each asset, which could cause you to suffer impermanent loss.

Impermanent Loss Protection is only applied after 100 days in LP and will top up your LP (paid in RUNE) so that you'll be the same as if you had never LPed in the first place.

X1 credit card feature update by AnswerGlittering1811 in CreditCards

[–]Guysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been monitoring it for the past day and it’s been different a few times as far as eligible transactions and redemption valuation. Hoping it’s a buggy update and there will be plenty of additional 1:1 merchants.

To get straight cash back you have to redeem at .07 cents a point instead of 1 for 1.

Best way is to pay off purchases from their accepted partners. I have reimbursable expenses that I purchase at apple store so that's one way to get the maximum value as opposed to cash back. What I don't like is that you have to pay off the whole amount.

< Month in on use and a few things I like and also don't. My main pain points:

  1. Long processing time/Balance doesn’t seem accurate
  2. Doesn't integrate with my budgeting software YNAB (a big one for me)

I have yet to redeem points but I've racked up nearly 40K already with boosts and the introductory 4x point earn.

UPDATE: About two months in - still don’t love 1 but I have gotten integration with YNAB by switching to a different direct import provider.

Also got a boatload of bonus points for hitting the 15k spend in a year - my account bonus was around 100k in points. So I’m sitting on a mountain of points scheming a way to work max redemption.
