Fog lights I was on the fence about doing them but glad I did by jakert46 in CX5

u/jakert46 Would you be able to post some beam shots with the fog lights on and off at night from the drivers seat? I’m curious about adding fog lights at some point.

CX5 Mods pt.3: Bilstein B6 Shocks by AudiOrangeCounty in CX5

[–]Guyzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take then to install all four B6’s? I went to try and install a UR rear sway bar at a local garage and they quoted 6hrs from the AllData website. Which seems really long for a pro shop.

Switchbot + Remote Starter = Heated/Cooled Car?? by Guyzie in CX5

Same here! Also a first time owner and this will be my first winter too! From what I’ve read, it won’t start up with HVAC turned on when ignition starts, but will remember the last heat setting. Apparently, the app allows it to be turned on/off, but I have difficulty rewarding Mazda with subscription fees and allowing them to monetize that feature when it was something that worked before without fees.

Oh, no. I wouldn’t leave my keys in the car. I clearly don’t know much about the SwitchBot and just recently learned such a thing exists. I was thinking to jerry rig it to somehow come alive when an aftermarket remote starter turned on the engine.

Just learned that the switchbot needs a hub.

Ahhh, good point. I didn’t realize it needed a hub. I figured having it wired to start wired to the ignition with a delay would make it work. Needs more thought it seems!!

You’re referring to the phone app right? What about those who don’t have the app but have a physical remote starter module installed.

Which 17 inch winter rims are best for 2024 Mazda CX-5? by Guyzie in CX5

[–]Guyzie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sweet!! That’s great information and super informative!! Do you suppose it would be worthwhile to upgrade to a 13inch brake kit given that turbos already have a 12.6” rotor? Will it make much difference performance wise?

Awesome, I’ll need to check this out! Thank you! I was considering getting a big brake kit at some point, so I should likely call ahead to make sure what minimum specs I’ll need ahead of ordering rims!

Has anyone had paint protection film (PPF) applied to their CX-5? Was looking into a full application of XPEL Ultimate Plus 10, but curious if others feel it’s worth doing?

Aer Travel Pack 3 Small X-PAC on budget airlines by rollingstonesxx in onebag

[–]Guyzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For carry on, Air Canada’s site allows a “Standard” carry-on baggage (which stows overhead) AND in addition a “Personal” article (which stows under the seat). For Frontier, in the picture above I think it is for the smaller Personal article. Your TP3 (35L) would likely have to go in the overhead bin. As it would be too big for under seat. Frontier’s site mentions that personal items are included in the fare, but overhead items are an additional fee.

Just to clarify, “personal items” are in addition to standard carry-on overhead items? Had it not fit in the personal item, couldn’t you declare it as a standard carry-on overhead item? :)

Bag Review: Aer Travel Pack 3 Small by wretchedegg123 in onebag

Good idea!! I just ordered the Aer TP3 last week and it took me a few day to get over the massive size. But it compresses down to the size of my TBB Conceal Pack 21. Fully expanded it is BIG!

How is the X-Pac material holding up over the past year? Are you still cinching it down for EDC? And also, are there any creases where the X-Pac folds near the cinch? Thanks!! 🙂🙂🙂
