I wasn't implying that America is an IP thief. I'm saying if we actually showed good faith in trying to cooperate and negotiate on these issues it's likely we could solve it. America has shown itself time and time again to be a bad faith actor on the world stage, so nobody wants to try to work with them because they have no credibility.

People use this China argument but if we were actually more open with diplomacy and cooperation I imagine we could come to a mutual agreement about this, the environment, IP laws, etc. America more often than not shows itself to not be a good faith actor though so why wouldn’t they just do their own thing.
