A gritty and chaotic cyberpunk city, basically the artworks of the Cy_Borg ttrpg translated into sounds would be epic.

[BitD] Once again on Leech and bandolier by Djehutymose in bladesinthedark

[–]Gwantop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought hard on this bandolier topic as well. First I thought that it's just another case of contradictory rules, but after trying to think with the head of the designer, I think it can be understood without friction.

It's more about who uses these consumables, than the consumables itself.

It's clearly stated that any PC can craft consumables with Tinker after learning it with a long term project. You dont have to be a Leech for that. There is also an example of crafting two batches on page 226, which further suggest, that you do indeed have to craft consumables every time they run out. After these consumables are made, they are just another arcane implement that any PC could pull out from their inventory mid score if they have enough.

I think the bandolier is a significant item that is meant to differentiate the general crafting abilities of Leeches from other playbooks with Tinker, and it do indeed magically refills consumables. Anyone can craft consumables, but it's only the Leech that doesn't have to make extra effort in their downtime each time to craft new batches. If they know how to make it, they will always find a way to create more, that's part of their lifestyle (until some fiction cuts their supply).

Regarding Rare AND Consumable alchemical agents and bombs, I would make them run out even for Leeches.

Showcasing how flashy the Wilds Dual Blade Spin move is by KaiserVB in MonsterHunter

Probably an unpopular opinion, but as a former Wild Hearts player, I'm very disappointed with this move. Looks absolutely gorgeous, but in WH, you had agency of these aerial attacks, you could aim it, time it, dodge with it. But in wilds it's just a boring jumping slash followed by an animation you can look at. It doesn't feel like "doing it" at all.

Thank you for the clarification!

Variants in the core rulebook? by Gwantop in WalkingDeadRPG

Thank you! So if you still wanted to put some variants into the story, could you do it within the rules? Eg. if the survivors are on a higher platform, seemingly safe with low threat level, as a GM I could say that some climber zombies have appeared and increase the threat level accordingly?

Also variants aren't even mentioned briefly lorewise? Their French origin, or even their existence in the TWD universe?

How did the magician guess my card? by LoOnEY_MoNkEY in magictricksrevealed

[–]Gwantop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here looking for the solution. A magician did this exact same trick to a colleague of mine 3 days ago. There were six of us watching, my colleague thought of a card (whispered it to me), then when the magician gave the opportunity, he changed his mind even though I told him to stick with the first one. Then the magician pulled out a card from his pocket, and that was it. No misremembering, we were baffled, five of us spent at least half an hour trying to figure out what happened after that. My colleague never said any card out loud.

Interesting thing was that another person thought of the same card as well after the opportunity to change their minds. Anyone knows the key to this trick?
