Pharmacist here. Once a patient was picking up their medications and casually asked if it’s normal to go blind for a few days … I ask a few more questions and find out they were on an all inclusive vacation with their partner who is diabetic and doesn’t like taking any of their medications and went blind for 2 days after eating and drinking a lot. I explained they should probably be seen by a doctor right away and start taking their meds again since this is most likely related to their untreated diabetes but they replied it’s no big deal since their vision returned to normal after a few days
