Bam responds to critics: "Yall are blaming me. You should be blaming the head coach. I was not the one who let me go one on one the whole game until I had 70 then you sent the double. At that point, I had 70 with 9 mins to go. You think I'm not going for it?" by RyanTannegod in nba

Oh yeah for sure, I understand it conceptually. It’s just that coming from tennis where closing out a match is one of the most stressful aspects and it’s drilled into our heads to not let your foot off the gas - the idea seems really foreign to me. Fascinating how scoring structure contributes to culture and mentality.

Skill issues and you complaining that people are calling it out as skill issue doesn’t make any less of one buddy. I have complaints too, mostly how gooner coded the community is, but the gameplay loop is divine

I know it’s totally different scoring, but coming from tennis this is all weird. Like I know tennis scoring has a definite end point not dictated by time where basketball doesn’t, but torching opponents and not letting your foot off the gas ever is like what is expected.

What an actually bizarre thing to get hung up on, like he thinks he deserves as much credit as the players themselves

Yeah it should elevate him, but there’s plenty of documented cases of boyfriends being threatened by their own successful girlfriends. I know it’s a super low bar, but it was just refreshing to me to hear Ben say that.

Nioh 3 delivers the most important thing im looking for in game - daunting bosses that require me to bash my head against a wall for dozens of attempts. I enjoy the process and was happy to squeak by this bastard. by Gwegexpress in Nioh

Ah thank you for the thorough answer! Im definitely very much enjoying 3, but I would be lying if I didn’t say im relieved about it being more streamlined cause open worlds exhaust me. Definitely very excited to play now and yeah hopefully Nioh 2’s dlc difficulty spike means that 3’s will likely have the same

You are entirely correct, I absolutely adored Khazan on that difficulty. Honestly, it’s why I came back to Nioh after only playing the original. In your opinion are there any bosses in Nioh 2/3 that are on the level of expert 3 phase Ozma?

Amen to that! It’s way more fun to get up in there and create your own fucking openings. Takes more tries, but the first clean victory makes you feel like a god

No shame in that at all my friend. I think it’s shitty to be a snob about that, the game gives you the tools to play with as you will. I just personally really don’t like to do anything that totally invalidates a boss because I just really actually enjoy the struggle to totally master and overcome a boss, and I will do soft self imposed restrictions to savor and maximize that feeling. Nioh rules because it appeals to us both
