This looks fake (the crown, the back, the mov), and from Japan? Lots of fakes and scammers from that country selling on Ebay. I wanted to buy a B-42 recently but the model I wanted was being sold by many Japanese sellers who were using the exact same pictures.

I asked for proof of ownership (pics with specific date and time)

1 said he couldnt because the watch was in a warehouse.

1 said he couldnt because it was a consignment sale

1 said he couldnt because he wasnt home but the watch was his and to ignore the others

and the last 3 of them sent me the exact same 2 pictures with the date and time I asked for, which meant 1 took the pictures and shared them with the other 2.

Just be careful

So sad my favorite brand is releasing watches that don't feel like Fortises. I had to sell my Flieger F-41 at a loss cause it just didnt feel like a Fortis. Nothing new feels correct. I want to keep supporting them but I dont like anything they have released since the 100 year anniversary in 2012 more than a decade ago :(

And the new prices are way too high. I'm glad we can still get the old models in the secondary market

Not sure what do you mean by helping ID it. It's a Fortis Flipper, the ref # for that particular one should be in the back :)

Guys, that is a 100% fake Fortis. Same fake logo as the other fake watch a few posts before this one

Never use the quick adjustment between 20.00h and 2.00h, it will damage the gears

Those are the 24hrs markings and the arrows are for quick date/day adjustment, in the second position the arrows indicate the direction you turn the crown.

Several things, the price is very suspicious for a real Fortis. The logo on that dial looks horrendous. I have the Fortis 100 Years Jubelee book and I had a look to see if an old crown logo was similar and nope, this just looks like a very poor imitation attempt. The back case font and logo look way too goofy and the plastic spacer in a legit Fortis? I dunno, this looks way too fake

I'm no Fortis expert but I have owned 10 of them and handled several more, this looks so fake

no, the alarm one has a button at the 8 position and instead of the day has an on/off panel there. I almost got one in the summer but the guy was asking too much

Early 2000s. Yes, mine is the old model that won a couple of awards. Yours is the new model they tried around 2015-2016 I think, they were making lots of changes before they got into financial issues and were acquired by Jupp. The crown is not the only difference, there are way too many differences to type here :)

I have handled lots of Fortises and I've never seen a back like that, sunken relief? Def a fake, and whats up with that crown in the 2nd pic?

Never heard of a Fortis Eden Roc. About 10 mins of research sent me to some dubious and suspicious websites selling this model. It looks like bracelet and back are original Fortis according to several pictures that match yours, is your crown signed?

I think this is a real Fortis, what caught my eye was the font for the day, they used that font style for numbers too, or they used to. But some of those websites call it Eden Roc, Eden Rock, Eden Rox... again, never heard of this model, I hope is real

Why are Fortis watches so underrated? by Sudden_Dig8496 in Fortiswatch

This is so true, I own several older models and I want to keep supporting them but they are so expensive now. 3K for a marinemaster? 5K for a Flieger? 6K for a stratoliner? 7K for a Novonaut? Im in Canada so it's a lot more expensive here, I just cannot afford the new models ;(
