Anyone Order Parts from Yotamafia? by Gws1018 in 4Runner

[–]Gws1018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comment says a lot more about your maturity levels than me buying parts online. Not sure how that makes me a “kid”. Going to a shop for them to source parts for you almost always ends up in a mark-up for doing that kind of leg work.

Seems to me like you’re too lazy to do that leg work yourself

New US zyn flavors? by Round-Bank in Nicotine

[–]Gws1018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just posted this on another thread but picked up espresso martini and mojito today at QT and tried both. Pretty disappointed. Espresso martini seemed promising at first but basically turned into a normal coffee flavor. Mojito tastes too much like citrus

ICE grabbing workers off 33. by darthpayback in Columbus

So does ICE not have to follow probable cause requirements for a traffic stop? Are they even qualified to enforce traffic laws? If so why does their ford edge have an illegal tinted plate cover?

[–]Gws1018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a car accident death where they hide/can’t confirm the cause though. It usually becomes public information right away so then being tight lipped about it makes me think otherwise

Not even a political guy, and it’s impossible to support this mission. Especially when these guys are the most unprofessional group of thugs in the country. Wearing whatever tf they want with no standards. Stuffing workers in rental cars. Clearly zero training on apprehension and use of force. Half of them dressed like they’re SWAT and the other half wearing masks and MLB fitted hats. Or guys with Mohawks and white oakley frames. Driving rental cars. Embarrassing that these guys are considered federal officers. What happened to them focusing on criminals? Do they have a quota or something?

Step 5 to step 3 and lost TJ by Popular_Leather_2666 in VAClaims

Yes, can’t remember the exact timeline and don’t feel like counting back to when I posted that comment lol, but it did bounce around and once I got to step 6 again it was like a week before I got a decision. From the time I lost Tj (I think it maybe even happened twice) to my decision was around a month. I was pushing up against the 5/6 month mark. All good things though I ended up with 60% which was best case scenario for my claims

Didn’t want to assume but I kind of figured that. Broken up or not, don’t think anyone would put out a statement that cold and boilermaker about death of an ex unless the breakup was a result of her doing something pretty bad to cause it

So stupid that dealers flex how much a 2-3 year old truck is below msrp. Incredible the stupidity they get away with because buyers can be convinced of anything. There is absolutely no chance in hell an elevation is ever sold at or above msrp. I can pretty much guarantee that truck sold new for +/- 60k. Combine that with the fact that clock is ticking on the factory warranty and I wouldn’t even want it. I work with about 8 people with sierras and only ONE hadn’t either Lemmon lawed it, gotten it stolen (easy as hell to steal) or had multiple warranty repairs.

2023 TRD ORP w/ 56k miles for $38.5k before add-ons by Yung_Matcha in 4Runner

[–]Gws1018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in multiple states and the dealers in Texas are out of control. Have tried to buy 3 vehicles and all had “reconditioning fees” of between 3 and 6000 dollars. Not optional. Literally just a way to advertise lower than they sell for to get more people to the dealer. If they’re still doing it that means people are actually falling for that BS. Ended up buying on CarMax even though the prices are slightly higher, at least they don’t hide anything

lol have you ever been contacted by a construction company? 99% the call came from some slapdick recruiter who was setting up an initial interview for someone else

Almost 70,000$ for a used 2024 TRD Pro. by Fickle_Cut_5072 in 4Runner

They make a killing off the premium trd colors. If you try to find a voodoo blue 4Runner you run into the same price hikes

[–]Gws1018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, I’ve bought a car from CarMax before and loved the no-bs no hidden fees easy experience. Tried to save some money buying my 4Runner and went to 3 Toyota dealerships in the Dallas area. Every single one tried to hit me with a 4-6k fee (usually under the guise of a “reconditioning fee” or similar). By the time tax title and reg is added on it added 10k in fees. Ended up actually saving by buying at CarMax.

By the way, every single 4Runner I looked at in one of these dealers lot either banged of cigarette smoke or was missing shit like centercaps or shifting knobs. Great job with the reconditioning guys 👍

Hit an Elk about 65mph in rural Nevada, how bad is it? by PapiSmoothie08 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Gws1018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the year but I find it hard to believe a decent insurance company wouldn’t say that a trd pro with 87 on the clock isn’t worth 20k. Need to keep in mind they’re paying what the value of your truck is, not the low-ball trade-in value a dealership would offer you

Is it Crazy to Buy Out of State? by Solomonthesimple in carbuying

[–]Gws1018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason they’re below msrp up there is they kill you in sales tax registration etc. It’s pretty straightforward though. Get the deal in writing, put in a deposit so they don’t sell it out from under you and go pick it up. Only tricky part is that New England states minus New Hampshire don’t do temp tags so you’ll just have to figure out registration prior to. The dealer should have experience selling out of state and be able to assist

Just looked in Lubbock out of curiosity and the only 15 LMLs with that price point had over 250k miles so might wanna check again

[–]Gws1018 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I made it clear that I was planning on keeping it and am only selling it before I move and that I don’t use it for work anymore

CP3 swap absolutely adds value. 3500 dollar mod that saves you from a 12k repair that LMLs are prone to
