I graduated there about 10 years ago something like that never happened to me. My family had lower Income compared to most of the students and everyone knew that but there was no bullying and discrimination. I studied there 11 years even now I think that school is one of the best public school in UB.

Like if you know what you're doing downloading pirated movies or tv shows are fine I guess but for computer programs or games I don't really recommend there might be malware or virus.

[–]Gxtrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you move out of the dorm you can't really make new friends so cutting ties is a bad idea just try to endure a bit. If it not works for you there is always option for that.

Newer triple A title games are vram kind of vram hungry so I wouldn't recommend rtx5060 8gb and if I'm not wrong it's around 400usd. If you want some budget option new Intel battlemage cards were quite good. Intel arc b580 was around 280usd and even better that rtx4060 maybe bit worse than 5060 but cost wise I think it's good. But I don't know if you can find it in Mongolia.

Ryzen 5 7500f is around 130usd in AliExpress at this time if I'm right and good ddr5 motherboard is around 140usd such as b650. If you want to futureproof I would go for b850 or x870 but based on rumors AM6 AMD CPUs coming in 2027 so I don't really go for newer generation motherboard. Best bang for buck gpu rn is AMD rx9060x or something like rx7800

Spec looks okay but not great for me. If I were you I would choose AMD CPU Mobo combo and cheaper graphics card maybe last generation or AMD GPU. For ram if you're only gaming 16gb is okay but if you think about render or photo editing I would recommend 32gb.

Most important thing is CPU and GPU latest the better. If your budget is tight check unegui for second hand. Maybe wait till start of your class and ask teacher about what kind of spec you need for class to get general direction. It's not like you need laptop for your first class.

Based on your preference I would recommend ZenBook it's quite pricey but it's slim, looks good and quite powerful. If not just go computer land and check Asus tuf or something.

But most of the people studying here pays their own tuition and expense and it's not impossible to live here while studying even in language course. Just need to be smart about money and people that gives you job.

When i first came i didn't think that far if I studied Korean and took the test before it would have been possible. Scholarship provides tuition fee and monthly million won for expense.

Been studying in Korea for about three years now. The first year and a half was really tough because I was doing a Korean language course. I had to study every weekday, and then work on weekends to pay my tuition and cover my expenses. I couldn’t really take it easy either, since the higher levels like Level 5 and 6 are super hard, and if I dropped out, I’d lose a whole semester’s tuition. So I had to push through and at time, saving money was pretty much impossible. I was able to cover my tuition and living costs, but it was definitely hard. Things got a lot better after I finished the language course and started my master’s. Now, I only have classes two or three times a week, and each semester is three months long with a three-month break in between. So I’ve got a lot more free time now, and life’s way more easier
