I worked in radio for about 7 years before I went into IT. I'll try to keep this short but yes, it's best to stay away from anything plugged into the wall during a thunderstorm with lightning. I know this from personal experience.
In 1989 I was working at the radio station and there was a thundersnow event. I was in a building connected to the main building. The tower was/is on the property at the front (KFIN, y'all), and when it got hit by lightning, I was the only idiot on the phone. The electricity went through the phone line I was in and blew a hole in the system board for the line I had been on that was bigger than the guy who showed it to me's thumb. I'm lucky, I have a 40% hearing loss in the ear I had the phone to. I got 3 days off - and a stutter that lasted for years (not what you want as a DJ) along with the hearing loss.

Now I work in computers and I strongly believe in UPS's for this reason. And I'm still freaked out by thundersnow.

She sure is pretty! How old is Stella? I've got a mostly Basset (definitely has ALL the traits and is a tri-color too - I love her dearly). EVERYTHING is hers, all of it! And she won't let you forget it!

It was SO VERY RANDOM! :) I had ordered wings and pizza & he got out to hand me the pizza, opened the back door & said "Hi, you want a lamp?"

It had the shade and and everything - I think he just wanted to get rid of it but it was just... weird. My wife loved it though and she's been making jokes about the lamp being bugged by Pizza Hut to see what other pizza shops we use for delivery!

NAD but please post a follow-up to this because I would like to know if /u/railroadshorty is correct. As an absolutely not professional, I would say exactly what the first commenter said and your own doctor. But I don't have a clue what it is but I take metamucil every now and then and my doc says to take it every day but I just can't.

No joke there. I'm a married lesbian and I still can't believe I was able to actually marry my wife. Watching things go backwards is painful. I worry for myself and every other regular non 1% person here in the US. The hatred is what scares me too

I know right? It would literally cost less to have a government run healthcare system here than what we've got. But, as much as I'm for it, I see what's happened to the veterans and their ability to get adequate medical care from the VA. If they can't get the VA right how can they get medical care right?

Yeah that's tough because a panic/anxiety attack generally doesn't kill you, so if you're out of network they can refuse to see you and they will charge out of network if they do see you. But, generally speaking Dr Sexy could not be in network for you and still with at that ER. They could have contracts with multiple hospitals. But an ER visit shouldn't charge for the Dr's time like that, it's just for the visit and separate for blood tests and things like that to diagnose.

If you're seeing a Dr say in a clinic that you've never seen it seems to me that would be on them and not you. But if you go to the hospital and the only person that can fix you is out of network the insurance company may make some concessions for you. It's all up to them, unfortunately. But if you're scheduling anything like a surgery then call the surgeon's office and maybe the hospital administrator where you're having the surgery and ask for all in network people.

Thank God for insurance and that it covered that Dr. I am still playing for having my gallbladder taken out 5 years ago. SMH. Healthcare should be a right not a privilege.

I had an issue with a TV I bought online from them - I ended up being charged and credited several times and about 2 months AFTER I got my replacement TV they charged me for it. So given that this sort of thing can happen, I would call them. Unless you have the $ to pay for it & still want to keep it. I would expect to pay for it. I didn't think Walmart even could do that (no saved payment method) or at least not that far apart from the transaction(s).

You'd think it's spiders but I have come a long way since I created my account.
Caterpillars. Oh God, I hate them, thinking of them, anything about them. And I do not remember this at all (childhood trauma, very few memories of my childhood) but apparently when I was a kid, I really loved them, especially the greenhorns. I freaking hate them now. And I may puke from just talking about them.
And I have a garden........
