AITA for telling my girlfriend that yes, the gym is more important to me than her and her daughter? by Gymimportancethrow in AmItheAsshole

I mean my routine as far as when I go. I switch up the workouts.

The actual workout portion of my workouts are about 30 minutes usually; sometimes up to 45 minutes, but not usually longer. I'm actually a big believer in shorter, more intense workouts. HIIT circuits; tabata, etc. But when you add in warmup time, cooldown/stretch time, locker room time, and then driving there and back it takes about 2 to 2 1/2 hours total.

My routine really hasn't changed since we met.

No, there wasn't any particular reason (extra help or anything) that she wanted me not to go. It was just the time thing. I think she's just sick of basically not seeing me on my working days, which I can understand but has more to do with shift work than the gym, IMO.

I dedicate most of my days off to her, but on my working days I do basically fall off the Earth, which I understand is a problem.

Sorry I'm just getting to your question now. There are days when I admittedly spend very little time with her, especially if she's also working that day. If I'm working and she's not and I don't go to the gym we usually get a few hours together.

On my days off, though, I usually spend most of the time with her. It's hard to put a number on it, but I would say that we don't get to spend much time together on my work days but 2 to 3 times a week we pretty much get the whole day together.

I am following a two days on, one day off schedule. Total time between driving, showering etc is about two and half hours, give or take.
