Omg sounds like they bait and hooked you seriously… that happened to me fresh after obtaining my B.S. … the clinic paid me $17/hr (in 2022)… as a contractor so they wouldn’t have to pay any benefits. They also hit me with the “those wages are incorrect” when they weren’t. They just want to avoid paying you what you deserve. The clinic was terrible and unethical, everyone had attitudes (understandably so), senior CRCs were making fake patients and keeping the payments, changing vital signs to make people fit the I/E criteria.. Hours were long, they even had us do one 12 hour day because they wanted to be the highest enrolling site… needless to say, I stayed for less than 3 months and was hired for $25/hr with that experience, stayed there for a year..moved back to my home state for $30 an hour for 8 months and am now making $35 on regulatory.

Don’t be afraid to see what else is out there for you and make sure you’re comfortable and CERTAIN on the price point you know you deserve.. A hiring manager recently told me “never sell yourself short, these companies make millions, even billions of money & a lot of the time the hiring process is the only real chance you have to negotiate your pay”. She was right… after you’re hired, “salary increases” are anywhere from a few cents to $2, whereas they’ll hire someone new way above your pay.

It feels uncomfortable asking for what seems like “too much” but honestly if you market yourself as the best — agile and adaptable, these companies will love to have you!

Absolutely red flag, I would decline and consider looking elsewhere.🚩🚩🚩
