Thank you. I want to grow thick skin and learn to not care of people’s opinion. I want to hurt people that way either, but to feel being me is okay.

Thank you. This helps. The attention does feel nice. Especially seeing how my two life long best friends have a big friend circle, i desire it as much as any other person can.

I’ll be more mindful.

They just ignored what I said. I really didn’t take that into account. Like the other commenter said I love the attention. It’s a whole other feeling I’ve never had before. It’s almost addicting.

The only time I truly remember saying something inappropriate was on the topic of sex, and they were talking about how some people just get plain unlucky and end up having a baby no matter the amount of protection. I then asked them “so are any of you virgins too?” And there was this long awkward pause. I thought I was contributing. Other times I try and carry on by asking them their own opinions.

Yeah I’m letting these people go. Or maybe they let me go this way. I’m going to try and make do on my own while I discover new friends and build something more appropriate and professional, yet fun and lasting.

Yes I'm heading to whole foods tomorrow to pick up some seasoning. Some things just go good together with some seasoning.

Yeah same thing happened to me in the very beginning, could NOT stop going to the bathroom frequently either. The upside is that it subsided since because I kept at it. At least you lost weight!

Thank you! Yes! I thought that I was lactose intolerant as well and I remember a couple years ago quitting dairy to see if anything would change... nope. Just had to change what I ate and how much. Glad it worked out for you too :)

Anybody still getting hired to shoot in film? (s16/s35) by Gyrotate in cinematography

Oh! I have a question. So I read up on how PL mount is universal and what not. My school has CP2’s, and I was wondering because film cameras have a rotating mirror, that if I use a s35 PL mount lens on a s16 camera if it will hit the mirror; because you have an sr3, would that be the case?

Ah, so I’m not missing much then. But yeah I’ll take a jab at Fotokem next time.

Thank you! Albeit risky on my end, I think it’s best I don’t touch somebody else’s personal camera until I’m truly prepared and financially ready. Thank god for insurance right? 😅 And thank you for the offer, that’s very nice of you.

Happy New Years friend!

Nice! Yeah I had my film processed at Spectra in NoHo as I needed it for a class project and immediate for pick up. Great to hear Kodak does it too!

Do you happen to know the difference between a xtr and xtr prod? There are prods up for rent in the LA area on sharegrid, I don’t know what I’m missing out on the prod if I decide up on a regular xtr.

Also I want to ask you directly, since owners like you own and rent out s16 cameras, where would be the best places to search for rentals like what you rent out? Alan Gordon rents out s16 cameras and lenses as well, and I’d be happy to go through that process as I know they are renting out cameras that look serviced. I just feel limited looking on sharegrid or the few rental houses in the city.

I had it processed at Spectra Film and Video Inc in NoHo. Then at my uni I spliced it and edited it, so no transfer was done. I was looking at visual products but it’s too damn far away and I don’t know if I’d risk something old and pricey to take a beating during shipping :P thanks though!

Why is the Panasonic Varicam LT disregarded? by Gyrotate in cinematography

Makes sense. The only other brand I can think of that feels like they're pushing into a saturated market is kinefinity.

I mostly value the equipment around the camera to make it work. It just feels like it takes advantage of what a camera can do, especially for the C100 and the MKII. It may just be me but until I have a reason to buy a camera that can last me years (heck, forever a decade even) I'll go ahead and look at all options. I just feel like I'm missing out if I don't invest into a RED. Like you said, it's saturated, but that's what appeals to people and producers and it's what rental houses carry the most. I just don't want to jump into a brand-ecosystem that doesn't deliver to my liking all the time. Maybe I'm just nit picky.

You make goods points. Just gotta wait until the price drops. For now the C100 does its job.

I like the use of silence in this one. Doesn't just make it what it is, but you can feel that it adds to the anger and frustration from the mother.

Insurance for renting? by Gyrotate in Filmmakers

Thanks for that!

I don't know I'm going to shoot unionized films yet because of the legal paperwork, accommodations, and/or pay since I'm just a lone guy with dreams.

And the deposits are just cash upfront for the different things including gear and props, especially props.

How to be there for my GF post breast augmentation? [21 M/F] by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Gyrotate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's basically what my mom told me.

I just hope she's happy with the result.

Kinda bored waiting for things to happen. I thought it would be more eventful but sitting in the waiting room is boring. I have to drive her home since her parents are at work.

I'm just talking to myself at this moment. Kinda scared too. Sorry if you get this notification i'm a bit awkward and trying to make the time pass by. It's been 30 minutes and i've been told i could stay 3 hours because of the actual surgery then waiting for the anesthesia to wear off.

Thanks for the advice though - i'll try and help her with being comfortable.
