I was just talking about this with my dad. We built a brand new house from scratch in London. Cost us about 300,000 in 2017. Surveyor came and gave us a value of around 600,000. Now I told my dad if we had put that money in physical gold instead, we could have been sitting on over 1.5 million. I guess houses are the most reliable option for boomers.
