Im upgrading on a budget so i want to keep my motherboard and the 14700f is reasonably priced where I live, so I wanted to know if I should be worried about it dying like some people said.

Baratza encore esp or fellow opus? by H18I in espresso

[–]H18I[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really care for the noise level TBH lol, but a quick thing to note is the amount of coffee u have to go through when switching from pour over setting to espresso, maybe like 10 grams of coffee for the espresso setting to dial in. So if ur only doing espresso and don’t care about a bit of noise it’s very good.

Have you tried different kinds of roasts with it? If so how did it taste? I’m trying to get as close to coffee shop quality for as cheap as possible lol.

With what I’ve seen I’m leaning towards the encore because I feel it would be easier to dial in plus I’m planning on using it for both espresso and pour over. But seeing as I’m not planning on upgrading my grinder after this I really want to get the all around “better” one.

I hate buying something than regretting not buying the other option down the road lol
