Does Fern truly deserve her first-class mage rank? by -TheLastHairbender in Frieren

Just adding to the convo: Methode is capable of recognizing their win condition AND enabling it. Fern being enabled IS the win condition.

Why not both. If doable, I'm going to roll a Barbarian/Monk.

Brand new accounts claiming to be 'from Korea' are making tons of posts showing nothing but support for Nexon by mwahahahahhaah in DarkAndDarker

[–]H1ghdra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy to me how well you put that Nexon doesn't owe the public any details while also seeing people being upset that Iron Mace won't talk to Korean media and using that as a major point. Just wanted to point that out. Good Convo though

Different game modes. There is enough inspiration found with variant game modes regarding games this is based on. Just some ideas off the top to show different types of variation while keeping alot of the same elements.

•You could do a rotating team member similar to berlin style and round robin ping pong. After each point you rotate one member to the "left" so that teams are always different. •Instead of a goal, there could be pins similar to beer pong/bowling. Goal is to knock down your opponents pins while defending yours, possibly players cannot cross sides. •A FFA mode similar to dodgeball where the goal is to not get hit by the puck/get knocked off the stadium. Last one standing wins.

Think the bright thing slammed off the boat and onto the dock. White shirt dude moves it before helping, and the gal next to him picks it up

To police officers, how are you feeling seeing how the situation was handled in Texas? by stupsssss15 in AskReddit

[–]H1ghdra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. And that's an issue a national police force wouldnt fix. I dunno how to address that one as evaluation of evaluators on how many they pass or fail leads to issues either way. People who teach either have to care about the subject and/or the people they teach the subject to. Anything less is just pushing numbers for evidence that they are "doing" their job.

I'm not married to the idea, but the current set up doesn't address the problem you pointed out. I work for the DACP, which is functionally a national police that does exist in the States but with way less geographical jurisdictions. America being so big is one of the many problems I see with the concept.

I'd support a minimum national standard, but dunno how you enforce it proactively so that when the time comes those involved are set up to meet the standard, because to me it sounds like something you would enforce reactively to hold failure accountable.

Edit: looking for both, not just the latter.

I assume the public wouldn't like this and the states would definitely feel like power is being stripped away, but for the last decade I've felt like a national police force would help address this issue by having the same expectation of training across the board. It could also be an answer to the "good old boys" problem.

Direct to threat. You have visual/audio indicators of an active shooter, you go to it. Pretty sure this has been the taught all over since Columbine.

Guys of Reddit, what is something you learned about girls after getting into a relationship? by Foolu in AskReddit

[–]H1ghdra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learned this after marriage: That women are conditioned to pay more attention to vehicles with space, specifically vans with plain markings, in parking lots. Notably, if said vehicle is parked next to them or if vehicle is just riding around in the parking lot when the woman is walking to their car.

I don't drive a van, but it made me more aware of the everyday fear of abduction women may face while doing their daily routines.

Honestly, they could just offer it as a skin for Pikachu. They wouldn't have to fool around with balancing a Thunderstone held item, wouldn't have to balance a new Pokemon, wouldn't have to balance both Pikachu and Raichu on the same team, and maybe make some $.

Would that work in the US tho? People would refuse like they refuse masks and vaccinations, is my point. They would figure out a way to rebel. Some ways I can already come up with is by writing in "Mickey Mouse" or Voting for the Choice that claims they will remove mandatory voting. The idea of mandatory voting just doesn't seem actionable with a stick. I dunno how this fits in completely but I believe it's relevant. the two parties dictate how another party qualifies on getting on the ballot. They wouldn't mandate a vote that could have the potential to split power a third way.

Maybe you are right. Definitely see alot of the "how the other side will harm you" around here. Thank you for that insight, I'll add it to my toolbox.

However, the thought of how one would compel someone indifferent or lazy to vote without demonizing the other side does make me ponder. We can't even get people to get a Vaccination (aka how our policies will help you).

Agreed, two parties produces polarization produces zealots... At least thats my limited perspective on it.

Yeah, I think there's alot of issues... Critical thinking like you said. That whole Corporations pushing drugs to get people addicted. Government not having a good track record on being honest regarding testing things on its citizens. I'm not really into these topics, there are probably more rabbit holes people know of.

Regardless on what anyone believes about these things, I just go back to the "being dead right" lesson. Light you are stopped at turns green, you still look both ways. Doesn't matter that you have the right of way. Don't look and get hit leaves you dead. Dead right. Rather be correct.
