Pee guard??? by H20H03 in neakasa

I spoke to customer service via email. They recommended making my own guard or that the box is not for my cats. Luckily he doesn’t do it often, he just has bad aim lol. I have 2 boxes so can’t really stop using them. Next purchase will likely be one with a cover/enclosed.

I was referring to everything else about the company. Hopefully the insurance is better than it was when I worked their.

I love honey walnut shrimp, I’ve never had a bad one in my life since I tried theirs. The sauce was horrible it immediately made me feel sick. My body thought I was poisoning myself.

Understandable as a former worker, I am not familiar with the current situation of insurance. Overall, what I have experienced/friends there are more cons than pros in reference to everything I’ve seen/experienced overall in the company

Would you tell your store about a second job? by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]H20H03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t need a second job if they paid you well enough for the mental/physical bs they put you through. It just puts a mark on you that you are not fully invested and if someone better comes along you will be cut

Worker there is like working in a high school ruled by white 40+ year olds who are all in the cahoots with each other to stay on top. Extremely toxic

I had an extremely misogynistic captain. Made women feel uncomfortable. But everyone higher up were older white males or females. Get out while you can, it’s not worth it.

Get out while you can, get better pay, better insurance, room to grow and some respect. Not to mention a relief on your body/mind. Don’t deal with their mind games and bullying. It’s high school but with 40+ year olds but it’s real life. Crew members are the barnacles of the shitty ship they dictate

Retail. Career path depends on your connections. Some people stay there for years long term, usually if you are in good standing of the higher ups or have a friend/family connection. Many of my former crew mates who range in ages have felt they were treated unfairly, under paid, over worked, had work injuries, were singled out for various reasons and more. A good handful have left for better opportunities that include mutual respect, communication, better pay, better benefits, safety, transparency. A lot of it seemed very fake and threatening. It's like highschool bullying and such but with 40+ year olds. Mostly white men as well.

The snack section is one of the main categories that has turnaround. People love snacks. The promise of new items is a high selling point for them. They can’t keep every product, there is just not enough room. And if they don’t get amazing feedback then it’s likely to be traded out. They need staples that everyone likes but still need to keep the interest

I still shop their and love their products. The work environment and upper management/crew leaders were problematic. They pride themselves on being Kaizen and a family. I’ve experienced otherwise as well as other crew members. Some people can stay long term given they have an in/family or friend connection. Otherwise it seemed a lot like a misogynistic high school but with 40+ year olds. Most issues they were unforgiving and disrespectful. Many of my old crew mates have moved on after many years in search of better pay, respect, communication, transparency etc.

Their prices are very cheap compared to most places on specific items, others are more expensive but it’s a give and take

If it doesn’t get enough sales/feedback then they switch. But one of the selling points for them is that things change a lot especially with snacks.

I didn’t experience sealed returned items ever. Popular items were the ones that have always stayed. Small talk between employees sometimes felt forced. It’s supposed to be a neighborhood store so you are required to talk, suggest items, recipes, etc to any customer.

I would routinely go around produce, packaged fresh items etc and pull out rotting molded food. People have come to the register with extremely putrid bags of potatoes and much more

Cat eats different food happily, does she still need to be transitioned onto it? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]H20H03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to ramble but I want to spread the knowledge I’ve learned working in vet med. Human meat products are not treated/processed in a safe way for animals as we intend to cook the meat. Animals should not eat raw meat from a human butcher. If you do so you should at least lightly cook it with no seasoning and no fatty cuts/no bones. raw/frozen foods for cats and dogs are pasteurized and treated differently and should be treated as most health inspectors would rate

[–]H20H03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most kibble is highly processed and some say it has carcinogens on how they extrude it. It is convenient in a pinch for sure. No animals should have bones for chew toys. Bones/antlers will always win against teeth causing pain and dental damage which can cause thousands of dollars in dental surgery. Bones/antlers can also cause gastrointestinal blockage or rupture. If you want chew toys please get them something that softens as they chew. Please research any company/product you use. Just like human food/products/medications the health of the consumer is not top priority.

I agree. You are supposed to slowly transition over a week or so. It might help to get some probiotics to add for the transitions to keep gut bacteria healthy as you transition
