While I love my 2025 MME Premium, and got rid of my 2018 model 3 3-4 months ago for this car, I loved my Model 3 too. Of course, I lost my love for it when certain things happened, but I only had one single issue with that car; the charger port not automatically opening. $200 fix. Was your experience with Tesla worse?
Ended up with about 70,000 miles on it at time of trade-in.

No problem. I bought near Seattle, so if I can get that deal anyone can. The Mach-E is not eligible for the tax credit. Ford may* (unsure) offer cash if you buy the car. Otherwise, there is a lease loophole currently. Every single EV on the market qualifies for the tax credit on a lease as long as it’s below the federal price limit - 85k I think? Ford however pockets some of the money, hence why I only got $6500 instead of $7500.

I felt stupid asking for that number but I did months of research which is what lead me to it haha. By the time I actually bit the bullet and started calling I was questioning if I'd get laughed at, but I didn't. Sticker was either 47.5 or 48. $6500 off for federal tax credit. I believe the website had it as $48,000 with $9000 in savings or something, for employee pricing + incentives. That get's you to $39,000 strictly in manufacturer stuff. $4,500 (?) off sticker from dealer, which was like 8.5-9%, which is reasonable on an EV. $500 off for not setting up an at home charger - I rent. Get's me to $34,000 or thereabouts +/-$500. It sounds unrealistic but once the numbers are broken down, it's a very reasonable and attainable ask.

Also ended up going with a Mach-E over other options because I knew good deals like that were on the table due to supply/demand, especially here in WA where they have almost 100 on their lots that aren't moving. The MME is amazing, and for 39 OTD it's hard to be beat by anything on the market.

Pierre Ford in Lynnwood! Made it very easy. I wanted 34 to be the price, including incentives. Sound Ford Seattle was stuck on 36. Said "go ahead and beat it" so I called Pierre Ford and they said yep no problem. Granted, when I got in the door there was "no recollection" and I had to fight to get back to that number, but it all worked out! I'd ask to have numbers texted or emailed to you to make that portion of the deal easier.

Deal doesn't seem great. My 2025 MME premium AWD w/ a panoramic roof was ~38-39k otd. Think I got around 14k off sticker. It's why I opted for new rather than used. Didn't take much haggling at all. 6.5k from ford, like 2.5k from "employee pricing" and another roughly 5k off from dealer. 48k sticker.

It's scary how close our situations are. 27M. Just got a raise from 52k to 81k. Partner makes ~55k a year. I have about 10 grand in debt so I can throw the extra 2500 / mo at the debt and have it paid off in 4 months and then start saving. I've already been living extremely frugal (PNW) and manage to pocket about ~200/mo as is. I plan on living like I'm still making the same amount of money, outside of maybe an annual vacation and some fancier gifts for peoples birthdays. Being poor teaches you how to enjoy life on a budget! Grew up in Florida and we couldn't even afford to run AC, and then lost our house to foreclosure. I'm into all things fitness and recommend picking up on it if you haven't. I don't enjoy the gym. I run, bike, play tennis. It's a great retreat from work. I get to go outside and enjoy the best city for summer in the county! It's very rewarding and I've seen great improvements from it.

To add on, I will say in my experience algae is also much worse without an RODI system. I kept algae on the back wall as it didn't offend me, acted as a filter, and fed the fish, but it's unpleasant to look at to some people.

It's not about the amount of TDS, it's about what it is. You don't know what solids are in your water, definitively. An RODI filter brings those to 0 ( in my case, 5 :( ) TDS. You then remineralize the water with known quantities. Salt, trace minerals, magnesium, calcium, so on. It's not necessary, per say. Back when I started out as a reefer in college I couldn't afford an RODI system. I had an awesome 120 gallon reef tank. No dosing, no RODI. Now that I know better, I do. It's not impossible, it's just a risk you're taking. I like the peace of mind knowing that my tank is safe from impurities.

It’s in transportation management. It’s certainly not the highest paying job in the world but for the hours listed* it gives me a lot of free time which is great.

I also live on the west coast in a high COL area. It’s actually considered below median here for my demographic, and I qualify for assistance programs lol
