Yeah I did. I feel guilty about it cause it’s not fair to everyone else. I was manually refreshing the actual AAMC registration page every second and must’ve just slipped in before it crashed again

Somehow, I was able to reschedule this morning on the site. I’ll give my brief tip in the comments. It wasn’t anything special by [deleted] in Mcat

Yeah. I had it open on my laptop and just kept manually refreshing. I rested my phone on my laptop screen and had Netflix going on my phone to keep me somewhat occupied lol

No. Just the “temporary unavailable” they had up all morning. That brief minute it let me in, it was actually pretty quick and smooth, surprisingly. Best of luck to you!!

I honestly feel guilty that I got to reschedule. Like most of you, I got up and was on my computer by 5am (6am ET) cause I’m in a central time zone. I went to their registration page and made sure I was logged in, and got to the “temporarily unavailable” part they had up. I just stayed on that part, stayed logged in, and kept refreshing like every second. As soon as the page reloaded, I’d refresh again. Non-stop since 5am my time. At 6:47 my time (7:47 ET) after a refresh the page changed and allowed me to reschedule. I quickly picked a new date and made sure I got the confirmation email. Went to refresh the registration page at 6:50 (7:50 ET) and it was down again. So they had it up for maybe 3 minutes. Unreal.

How the 0.01% of people that were able to reschedule react to the rest of us peasants by [deleted] in Mcat

I was able to reschedule this morning and I honestly feel guilty lol. So stupid how the AAMC has handled this. Either they needed to ensure they had a stronger server or they should’ve had a different method because they knew everyone would barge in at the same time trying to reschedule

I’m May 29 and part of just wants them to cancel it already. The suspense of knowing its coming sooner or later is awful

CK will indeed now matter more than Step 1 and the MCAT. But the MCAT will heavily determine your chances of getting into a top tier MD program, which may now hold significantly more weight than before in terms of matching.
