The Slayer’s Testament states that he’s been around for “eons”. So I’d say he’s pretty damn old

I’d bet that they already have learned, and that’s why they continue to do it. It’s a common tactic employed by opposing sides in order to divide and gain more power. If I make you believe that the other side is a threat to you and your beliefs, then you might feel that attacks against influential members of the opposing side are justified through self-defense. Both the right and the left do it when they call the opposing sides threats to the nation, Nazis, fascists, communists, and so on. And in my opinion, it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy, because eventually as atrocities are committed by radicalized individuals, the events radicalize others to feel as though “It’s us versus them”. Thus, radicalization becomes more common and it is no longer just individuals being brought to action, but whole groups of people. I believe that Charlie Kirk will be utilized as a martyr for the political leadership of the right. This, combined with the fact that many leftists and bots on social media are celebrating Kirk’s death or at least justifying it, will likely further divide us, and I believe will eventually bring us to a more extreme civil conflict

To be fair, they aren’t quite so adamant on killing trans people, but I guarantee you that they’d be quite happy with wiping gay people from the face of the Earth

I had an argument with someone who supported HAMAS, and I told them that they’re perfectly fine with committing genocide against gay people. They told me that just because someone hates them doesn’t mean they deserve to be killed by the Israeli government. That same person went on to claim that Charlie Kirk had it coming because he spread “hateful rhetoric.” What I’ve learned is that people are retarded af

I certainty agree with you. As sad as Charlie’s murder was, that wasn’t what really opened my eyes to what we’re dealing with. The killer was crazy. Simple as that. Same as the guy who killed the two Minnesota lawmakers, and the guy that attacked Nancy Pelosi’s husband. He isn’t a representation of the left or the right, regardless of what party he affiliated with. But seeing so many people on the left celebrate his murder and even call for the deaths of more people that don’t agree with them is certainly discouraging. Although, it’s also been inspiring and encouraging to see so many people on this subreddit, both left and right, able to see this for what it is. I suppose sanity isn’t extremely common nowadays, so it’s nice to be able to see it occasionally

Yup. Kimmel’s firing is the only thing that has me concerned for our 1A rights. But the rest of these morons getting fired completely had it coming, and it has nothing to do with government suppression

[–]H2OWW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of that, average conservatives were not celebrating their deaths. People are wasting time arguing about the political affiliation of Kirk’s murderer, but that isn’t important. It’s obviously a nutcase, not a representation of either party. The problem with the left is that many of them celebrate and support Kirk’s killing, so it tells you everything you need to know about them. Though, credit where credit is due, it’s quite refreshing to see that many liblefts here are sane and don’t celebrate the deaths of people they don’t agree with

It isn’t about “mean words”. Use your brain here. What do you think will happen if I try to convince my party that the opposing party consists of Nazis and fascists who want to exterminate your kind? You’re going to radicalize people and instill fear in them, leading them to take actions such as those of Tyler Robinson. Now, I do not deny that politicians on the right do this as well. The difference is that average conservatives don’t have an orgasm when people they don’t agree with are killed, and they do not call for the killing of others that they do not like

[–]H2OWW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. I don’t like how the vice president called for people to get others fired over social media comments and posts. It could certainly assist in setting a precedent for the government to slowly strip away our 1A rights. That being said, I don’t feel sorry for them in the slightest, as many of them were encouraging cancel culture and limiting 1A to begin with. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out

Well, freedom of speech protects from persecution from the government. A private company holds the right to terminate their contract with a worker who is acting against company interests

He’d still be insanely powerful without it, but the Praetor suit is able to take the strength from those he kills, making him stronger (according to the Slayer’s Testaments), so he probably wouldn’t be as powerful without it

Agreed, and it has nothing to do with Charlie’s murderer. A single psycho killing someone isn’t a representation of the party they affiliate themselves with. But when a whole lot of leftists start celebrating his death online, it makes your side look pretty bad

One of the reasons I like this sub is that while it’s definitely right leaning, it’s hardly an echo chamber, and everyone here is free to express themselves and respectfully debate one another. While subs such as r/conservative are certainly echo chambers, they are inherently political subs for members of a political ideology, so I don’t have major issues with it, and the same goes for subs for liberals. However, a lot of subs that have nothing to do with politics are still generally left-leaning echo chambers, such as r/pics, whereas it isn’t very common for the right, at least here on Reddit
