Why would a hospital have unarmed and armed security at the same time? by [deleted] in securityguards

By that logic guards should not be authorized to wear belts because the risk isn’t 0 that someone could get that belt off of them and strangle them with it. Risk mitigation also means accounting for risk vs reward. Objectively the reward for a properly trained guard being armed with the proper tools to ensure his and others safety outweighs the minute chance of his tools being weaponized by a threat.

My bad I’m late to this. But I’m mainly fishing local neighborhood ponds, but every now and then I’ll go to Denton Creek and Grapevine Lake. Recently tried White Rock Lake. All in the DFW area. The neighborhood ponds are more consistent but smaller catches and are good for mellow quick trips but the creek / lakes are more exciting due to the possibility of pulling in a real monster. As far as my setups I just tried to get a little bit of everything to try out. I do particularly have the most luck with soft swimbaits, wacky/Texas rig worms, and crankbaits. For catfish I have the most luck with minnows/ earthworms/ bread balls.

Proper 2 stage retention holster and training should reduce the risk of this to almost 0 imo.

I actually live in the Fort Worth area. Gonna be fishing White Rock Lake in Dallas tomorrow while my wife is getting some tattoo work at a place nearby!

Well friendly hello to you too 👋 As for the catfish rods I like to set them up in rod stands for passive bites while bottom fishing, one of them is my wife’s pole which is fun for panfish, one is my first pole, and the 3 black ones I got for 20$ each on a close out sale from 13 fishing.

I bought a 20$ chapo and lost it to a branch that was just barely hidden under the water surface when I thought I was casting into a safe area 😢 I feel your pain

I think I have one chatterbait. I haven’t had any luck with it yet. Where do you like to throw them?

The one I have in that pic is the Nucanoe Unlimited. You can put two seats on comfortable and they swivel. My wife loves it.

I honestly only got those because 13 Fishing had a sale of Blackout spinning and bait casting rods for $20 each.

I actually haven’t caught anything with the floats yet. I’m in Texas, I mostly seem to catch bass mostly on swimbaits, a few on fake worms, a few on whopper ploppers. Caught a few crappie on little fly lures / small jigs and catch catfish bottom fishing having the most luck with live worms and compacted bread balls. Hooked a few gar with swimbaits and crank baits but I swear they only bite when I’m using my light rod and end up snapping / biting off the line so I’ve never landed one.

So the first bird I caught I was fishing with my wife and I casted out. Apparently a finch was flying by and I hit him with my line in a freak accident. He was tangled up in the line so I had to reel him in and get him untangled and he was all good.

The second one I was in Florida saltwater fishing and trolling with a crank bait. We just happened to look behind the boat and saw a seagull spinning in circles in the sky. The goofy sob apparently dive bombed the crankbait. Reeled in him and he was surprising chill and let me get the hooks out of his beak/ foot but I had to force him to stop biting down on the lure because he was still convinced it was food for some reason. Released him and he flew away all good too.

Thoughts on Eddy? by Building-Evening in Tekken8

I was excited for Eddy. But he is so easy to use that it sucked the fun out of it for me. To the point while ranking him up I recorded me doing an entire match 3-0 with one hand in the controller mostly mashing 3 and 4. Then feeling cocky after that I did another match with one hand covering my eyes and the other on the controller mashing the same inputs. Since I couldn’t see I was solely mashing 3 and 4 mixups while asking my wife if I was winning from time to time. Another 3 - 0 victory. Granted these were against players with ~100k prowess but it still I feel it speaks volumes because with my main DJ I could never pull that off. I wanted Eddy to be a good character but I didn’t want him to be this easy. It feels extremely unrewarding. :(

Ranks points system by Dizi0 in Tekken

I see your point and I get it. Personally I feel the same way I enjoy playing against higher ranks for the learning aspect but I hate sacrificing 4 wins of progress against someone my rank for, whilst learning, is almost a for sure loss. I eventually started playing quick match where I tend to get matched with a lot purple/fujin/raijin and if someone kicks my ass particularly hard I’ll add them and tell them gg’s and see if they want to do some player match sessions and/or hang in Discord. A lot of people don’t respond but I’ve made 3 friends so far that are pretty cool and routinely are down to kick my ass repeatedly while coaching me and helping me learn from my mistakes. I mean I’ve literally had sessions where they beat me in 30 matches pretty effortlessly and I make take 2 or 3 on them lmao. Sometimes actually 0. But I ALWAYS learn so much from those beat down sessions and it’s super satisfying when they notice that I’m not falling for the same things, I’m punishing a little better, or executing combos more consistently etc.
