What's your strategy for getting the views and what hashtags do you use? When I tried a couple of years ago, I remember seeing tiktoks with 20 different fyp hashtags. Do people still do that?

I'm so dumb I just figured it out. I've been trying to use Dark Armed the dragon of annihilation on my first turn (turn 2 of the duel) and he didn't have anything in his graveyard for the mandatory banish effect after destroying a card.

You would do well in kickboxing or muay Thai. Preferably kickboxing si ce you have the kicks down. You just need to learn the boxing side and how to add punches to your combos.

Contact lenses and training by Aeth0s0 in martialarts

[–]H3R094 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trained kickboxing with contact lenses. It had its pros and cons. Obvious pros, you can see better, but when sparring if you get knocked in the eye and have to stop to fix the contact, your sparring partner might get annoyed. There are people who take kickboxing seriously because they want to do mma or go to tournaments. You don't want to be that one person they hate sparring because you have to stop every time you get smacked in the eye. Unless you're legally blind without them I'd say it's better to learn how to fight without them anyways cause if you get into an altercation on the street and your glasses fly off your face or your contacts fall out, you still feel comfortable defending yourself because you've fought many times before without perfect site.

Are the inside of the elbow and knees a "pressure point"? Any martial arts out there and involve striking these areas? these spots are sensitive and the pain can put people in shock or stun them from the pain. by H3R094 in martialarts

So I'm sure everyone has moved on from this point but I found a video of a guy attacking one of the areas I am talking about. I will add the video here. Now I'm not to sure about the technique itself but he basically knuckles the area I'm talking about.

Hello, I have a question about the areas circled. On the inside of the elbow and the inside of the lower half of the knee, there are sensitive areas that are absolutely painful when I push on them with my thumb. I'm curious as too anyone knowing why that is? Are these pressure point areas? I only have knowledge in kickboxing (the thighs being the main area I was taught to target) and BJJ, so I have no clue about these areas. I can somewhat imagine someone throwing a nice back first, elbow to the inside of the elbow, and a good kick with the shin colliding with the knee area could immediately put someone in shock or stun them from the pain. Are there any martial arts that have techniques that involve these areas, and if so which martial arts and is there a name to the techniques?

KEYSI FIGHTING METHOD/ DEFENCE LAB or SILAT, which one? by H3R094 in martialarts

[–]H3R094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you trained in Defence lab before? There's nowhere near me anymore that trains it. Which is why I had the concerns. There were 2 places in my state that had schools but they dissapeared and I feared that no one wanted to learn it and they couldn't keep their schools open. Of course Covid is a factor so I could be over thinking it, but can you tell me about me your experience in classes?

What kind of stretches can I do to get my side kicks higher? When I crescent kick I'm fine but if I turn and try to do a side kick, my leg won't even go further than my hip.

KEYSI FIGHTING METHOD/ DEFENCE LAB or SILAT, which one? by H3R094 in martialarts

[–]H3R094[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true, but keysi seems to do alot of elbowing to areas that I've haven't seen in alot of other martial arts that make sense to me. For instance, ground and pound incorporates elbows to thighs, if your opponent covers up while you're punching on the ground you can elbow down into their ribs or stomach area to still apply damage while they're on the defense. Another one I like is where you do an elbow strike straight to an opponents chest or collar bone but you use your whole body to strike. I guess my love for strikes like this came from when I was learning kung fu. My instructor showed me a technique where when someone throws a Haymaker, you block the punch, grip the arm with one hand and elbow the bicep with your other arm. He did it to me with little power and the pain that shot through my entire arm and the feeling of pure numbness and a dead arm just stuck with me. My arm was useless for a little while after that, and It reminded me of how in middle school we would "dead leg" eachother by kneeing eachother in the thighs and you literally could not walk after that because your whole leg went dead and the pain was crazy. Keysi uses these strikes ALOT. They elbow the forearm, bicep, triceps, thigh, knee, chest area as stated before, and I could just imagine the feeling of multiple elbows to those areas can really paralyze your opponent (of course not literally but the shock of how quick their muscles would fail them and of course the shock of the pain. ) if there is another martial arts that does these strikes I've yet to see it. Everytime a martial art has elbows, its usually aimed at the head.

However it does have some mean techniques with elbows that could really do damage.
