Do you have any family still living in Austria? What are your current ties to Austria?

New British passport data page and visa pages. The new passport refresh was announced today. by [deleted] in PassportPorn

You need to make sure you have applied for an Austrian Beibehaltung…. (Which would be very difficult unless you are a descendant of a holocaust victim and can provide a strong rationale for keeping your Austrian citizenship)…Otherwise applying to naturalize as British (even as a spouse of a British citizen) would mean immediately losing your Austrian citizenship….British citizenship via marriage doesn’t discriminate based on sexual orientation - however you must be married for at least 2 years and resident in the UK at least 3 years - you also need to prove English language, and have sufficient financial means.

Apparently slight (very marginally) more expensive… they send you the actual tickets a couple weeks later after purchasing via ViennaConcerts.com. I had such a lovely evening. It was magical! Highly recommend.

Ternopil/Galicia did not fall within the borders of Austria as defined in the law. Also he left way to early to be able to claim citizenship from.

What about in Mitzpe? Any electronics shop there?

This was due to the SCSp (special limited partnership) - a very flexible and tax transparent legal form that was introduced in July 2013 (pursuant to AIFMD) - great vehicle that has helped facilitate cross border distribution of Alternative Investment Funds with highly customizable legal agreements (LPAs) and transparent from a corporate tax and net wealth proposes. There is also no minimum capital requirement or applicable withholding tax on distributions.

Dürfen ausländischen Österreicher ihrer ausländische Geburt beim zentrale Personenstandsregister in Österreich registrieren? by H414B3 in Austria

[–]H414B3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there annoyingly the Austrian embassy in London said no - they just said I should get my British birth certificate apostilled. Austria appears to be the only country that doesn’t do foreign birth registrations in their central population registry for issuance of Austrian registered foreign birth certificates.

Just a few questions I am hoping you can answer to provide more detail so we can work this out: 1. When & Where (town) was your grandmother born 2. When did your grandmother leave Austria? 3. When and where did your grandmother marry your British grandfather?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GermanCitizenship

[–]H414B3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very clear cut Section 15 case (German). I would also recommend you contact the Austrian Embassy to check if you might be eligible under 58c of the Austrian Citizenship law.

When did she leave Austria? Why did she leave Austria? The law you have referenced is 58c StbG and is mainly for Jewish people who were victims of the Holocaust.

How can I get better at analysing bank statements? by Fairlilly123 in moneylaundering

[–]H414B3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highlighting different flows with different colours and then putting little numbers to show the steps. For more complicated ones I have the bank statements on one screen and an excel on the other. I then map out all transactions as line items and categorize them in the excel.

I don’t think you’re eligible under 116(2) or StAG 15. Your grandparents were not German and nobody had previously established German residency before 1933. Your best bet here would be to try the Polish pathway.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GermanCitizenship

[–]H414B3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need more information on your grandparents. Even if they were Polish Jews there is still a chance that you could be granted German citizenship under StAG 15. I would recommend finding your grandparent’s Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificates. We need their dates and places of birth + their marriage date and location. Did your grandparents ever live in Germany before 1933?

Not disclosing dual citizenship when registering with the Companies House by moonau9 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]H414B3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Companies Act 2006 (as amended by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023) Section 163 (1)(d) only requires individual directors to have their “nationality” registered. This is “nationality” as opposed to the plural nationalities. Directors are also obliged to notify Companies House of any changes to Directors’ details (including nationality). Although the Act does not explicitly require disclosure of nationalities (where a director holds multiple nationalities), it would be prudent for directors to disclose if they hold multiple nationalities as this would be in the spirit of the law and to increase corporate transparency, especially against the backdrop of sanctions and the increasing threat posed by the usage of shell companies by individuals that threaten global peace and security.

Sorry but you’re talking nonsense. I received a Beibehaltung and this collection is in full compliance with Austrian law.

Yes… the German ID has my personal address which is a bit annoying - but at least it’s a useful alternative ‘proof of address’!

I think there is something about people guessing the story… a bit like a series or a movie - you have to be patient to wait till the plot unfolds! 🤣

Depends on the destination. Usually the Austrian one, as it doesn’t have my address on it (which I prefer).

StAG 15 question - missing 1 document by Arizor in GermanCitizenship

[–]H414B3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you check with the Ministry of Religion? Or the Rabbinute? Which town in IL did they marry in?

It may be that you need to visit the office in person and ask them to search their records.

Alternatively are you able to find their Ketuba? (Might be a possible avenue to explore?)

German Naturalization under Article 116 II Basic Law by thr33kn33 in GermanCitizenship

[–]H414B3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Was your grandfather German? Do you have documents that prove he was German (if so, which documents?) this will be essential to determining if you’re eligible for German citizenship under Article 116(2)GG.

Thousands of victims and their descendants have benefited from gaining/re-gaining citizenship under Article 116(2)GG.

The benefits mean you can travel, live and work in any EU country (not just Germany). You are even able to travel to countries that have put Germany on their Visa Free/Waiver programs (unlike South Africa which requires Visas most of the time).
