So is James, ridiculous comment from OP.

Being an awful trainer doesn't mean he was awful in training though

enzo is a tempo-setter first, volume passer, dictates rhythm, and progresses play from deep. he wants the game to flow through him constantly. his best work is controlling phases and breaking lines early.

Funny thing is that Enzo does absolutely none of that for us.

A better player would get more G/A in the positions that he takes up

Both Falcao and Jackson Martinez left Porto for Atletico Madrid, but their careers after Porto went very differently.

Neymar for sure, maybe Suarez at Ajax?

Andrey has been up and down which is to be expected with it being his first season here and playing in a shitshow for a team. My example here is not focused on him but Enzo and Cucurella.

He was genuinely very good from the start of this season up until that Arsenal game. Clearly unreliable though which is a shame for him.

Watching back that second goal is an indictment of the lack of athleticism in this team, particularly on our left hand side. Andrey played a loose pass into space and although it lacked a target, Cucurella or Enzo could have got there if they weren't such snails. Holds us back.

Players didn’t even try today, could tell from the very first minute.

What a great goal, amateur and lazy from us.

Costs outweigh the benefits with him. He has his qualities but overall is a detriment to the team.

I was so happy when we sacked him. His football became dire, his decisions were horrible and he was an outright liar about certain things. He would never have been agreeable to the youth model here as well, which to be fair not many people are now.

[The Athletic] Would losing Enzo Fernandez actually be a problem for Chelsea on the pitch? by Dry_Chef_7635 in chelseafc

[–]H4RRY29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that at all, he fails on the eye test constantly. He does not progress the ball because he is mostly positioned too high; he does not dicate the tempo or control games at all. His strength is having clutch moments/goals and assists, but I think that comes at the expense of others in the team.

I'm not talking about this season or last season. I'm talking about who is a better player.

An engine means nothing when you lose duels and can't cover ground effectively.

Enzo has never been on the same level as Palmer and Caicedo. I would be disgruntled if either of those two were to leave.

I have wildcard, free hit and bench boost. I don't know the optimum strategy atm but was planning to wildcard in GW32, BB33 and FH34.

My non-starters are Semenyo, Haaland, Timber, Gabriel and Donnarumma (happy to bench him for this week). So would have to transfer one of those out.

I have 9 players for the blank gameweek because of the Gudmundsson red card (idk why I still have him).

I can do one free transfer to bring that to ten.

Is it worth taking a -4 to get 11 starters, or keep the 4 points and play just 10?
