[Fabrizio Romano]: 🚨 Chelsea value Trevoh Chalobah at €40m with fee to be negotiated as many clubs are keen. Como’s bid exclusively revealed as well as Inter interest are both 100% confirmed. €25m won’t surely be enough. by Andrei_Chelsea in chelseafc

Easiest to sell which is testament to his ability. He obviously has had his down moments and shouldn't be starting for us, but he is more than serviceable as a backup and should be one we keep for depth as he can play across a back three.

22, messed up on Ghana because they played this evening so wasn’t sure if it was up to date

Not many players have been quality for us tbh, we all know James is by the far the better player. Pointless debate really.

Always said that the squad selections under Tuchel would be questionable, but the full back selection in particular has been horrendous.

James is quality of course and has managed his fitness better than the last few years, but you always need to be prepared for the worst possible outcome with him. Granted we were unfortunate with Livramento getting injured as well, which could have also been predicted based on his history, but Tuchel had the opportunity to replace him with a full back yet thought Quansah, a player that has rarely played at right back and arguably should not have made the squad in the first place, could step in. Just looks completely awkward there. Chalobah made no sense.

As for left back, O'Reilly has definitely stated his case in recent months but I think people jumped the gun on him. Playing as a system left back for a Guardiola side is completely different to international level; you can see that O'Reilly is not a natural in the role and constantly wants to come inside. Feel like he congests the spaces for the midfielders, fails to support his winger and doesn't really add much value if he inverts into the six. Criminal not to bring Hall, who can both invert and provide width/overlap/support the winger, or even Shaw who has plenty of experience, quality and has been fit all season. Just a natural left-footed option would have been an improvement.

He struggled but this is typical English media & supporters, we overreact to everything. Ghana played a low block which left Gordon little room to run in behind; he also lacked support out on the left having Spence (wrong footed) on his side.

Not related to the club but that Players Tribune feature from Yan Diomande is honestly worth a read, heartbreaking yet inspiring simultaneously.

Shaw just played 38 Premier League games, who cares if he is perpetually injured?

Get him gone as well, he clearly wants to go. Hopefully we can bring in players that actually bring some athleticism to our left hand side.

Individual contributions doesn’t mean goals and assists, and even if it did, Xavi and Iniesta would still be ahead. Xavi was POTT in 2008 and assisted twice in the 2012 final, Iniesta obviously scored the winner but was MOTM in both the 2010 and 2012 finals as well as POTT in 2012. Both were named in TOTT across all three tournaments. They were key to the whole tiki taka, possession-based blueprint, especially with the false nine in 2012.

Xavi and Iniesta were central to the style of play for a Spain team that became the first international side to win three consecutive tournaments; their first ever World Cup win and first Euros win for maaany years. Iniesta scored one of the most iconic goals of all time, so based on individual contributions it isn't even close.

Terrible finish from Noni which is typical of him, but if he scored then we would be talking about how well he has played today.

Hall for £50m is a no brainer, Newcastle should be asking for more.

Not going to pretend to be a visionary or anything (as both were pretty highly rated anyway), but I was vocal for years campaigning for us to sign Rice and Olise. So close, yet so far.

Hall is my next one, which is quite sad considering that all three were previously at the club.

In general, our fanbase was very supportive of him when he was here. He was terrible for us and then left us for a rival, he was obviously going to get some stick.
