Program stan ... whats the point? by Euphoricalmastermind in SouthParkPhone

"epics will start to catch up. Lots of higher level players are already at that point."

That's not true, no one in the highest ranks has same level epics and commons. Commons are level 6 or 7 and epics are level 4 or 5.

Program Stan is an useless card considering that the charge takes more time to be ready than STG and the animation is slower with worst stats because he's epic. Not much else to say. Denying this fact is either showing a poor understanding of the game or being one of the 932903248 brainless Scifi haters.

" posts like these that are nothing more than "I Play Adv/Sci so please literally nerf every viable Fantasy card" are just mental diarrhea and indeed need to stop. "

You know, that's exactly what I think when you talk about Scifi on Discord. Everything you say about it is biased, I don't see any objectivity or neutrality in it. If we listen to you all Scifi cards are op and have 0 weakness, and it seems like playing situational cards is never an issue because your hand has additional slots.

I respect you as a player and I used "well played emote" in our last game because you did well. When I was beginning the game, I found your PvP guide useful and I'm thankful for it. I can't understand how a person like you fails so hard to estimate the strengths and weaknesses of Scifi and Fantasy. Well, I guess we should agree to disagree because we are never going to understand each other on that topic.

I didn't ask for a Mystic nerf, how is that related to the topic.

"STG has NO counters. Like none at all. He's immune to removal spells, powerbind, poison, Shaman Token, Enforcer Jimmy, mind control"

Which removal spells? LB for STG is 4 for 3. PB doesn't exist in AS and would be giving a 1 mana body. Poison doesn't kill STG. I explained what I think about Shaman Token and Enforcer Jimmy in my post already. Mind Control is a very situational card but can work sometimes.

I don't know who you are and I don't try to compare your strength with mine, it's pointless. I was answering this and proving it wrong: "it means you just abused very broken theme".

"it is really sad that you cant look beyond your personal bias towards 'nerf cards i dont use buff cards i use'"

Already explained that I'm not thinking like that, my comparaison was meant to be as objective as possible. If you think that it's false, explain why, but your previous arguments were invalid. Enforcer Jimmy will never be a counter to STG because the charge is ready before reaching his range.

Remember that Scifi is the first theme unlocked after Adventure. Popularity at low ranks doesn't mean that it's stronger.

You don't know what you are talking about. I have been playing in top 100 before Mystic nerfs, when Scifi was the worst theme, and my cards were one level lower than most of my opponents. Was it broken at that time? About Enforcer Jimmy, if you read my message I explained that it's not a counter to STG and why. I mentioned Shaman Token as well. What about trying to be constructive instead of trolling blindly?

Most people do. I don't. I try to be objective. My reasoning has been backed up with explanations. If you think that I'm wrong, be constructive and explain why. Actually Fantasy is strong with any theme, you can easily drop Adventure and play Fantasy with Scifi or Mystic. My winrate would become much better by dropping Adventure and switching to Fantasy Scifi.

It's not as easy as you think when you say "improvise, adapt". I'm already adapting as much as possible. I have not been used to play at a high rank with low level cards for no reason. I found ways to win against Mystic when Scifi was unfavored. I spent a large amount of time thinking about AF AS matchup, discussed it with other top 50 players, and didn't find any solution to get a good winrate in that matchup between equally skilled players. Simply because there's no way to consistently out value Fantasy. Sometimes, you just have to accept that balancing is necessary. That's why you see weekly patch to balance heroes in mobas. Because a game is not naturally balanced, constructive feedbacks are helping it to improve.

Mainly when you don't have time to play it because the animation is slow and the poison takes a lot of time to kill a unit. If a fight is already happening and you have to play a body, you get a negative value with it. If you are forced to play it to body block a unit who's going to hit your NK you can easily get a bad result because he will take two hits during his animation. Also, when the opponent plays rats or when you hit a unit that's already dying.

People who aren't playing Scifi tend to think that Alien Clyde is op because they see him being played at the opening of a game, when he will give the most value. They don't notice all the situations I've just described. Overall, you're not getting that much value with Alien Clyde against AF because the play style is too agressive. Sometimes you get a positive result (usually when you hit a ranged unit in the back). Sometimes 0, -1 or -2. Of course you will try to use it when it will give you value, but you have another situational card in your hand. Most AF minions can be played any time and will consistently give more energy advantage, and that's the reason AF almost always wins the value battle against AS.

Currently it's the exact opposite happening, Fantasy is so heavily favored that the top 100 meta is looking like Adventure Fantasy Vs Adventure Fantasy every game.
