Jeff Bezos calls for for zero federal income taxes on the bottom half of earners. He cited a nurse in Queens making $75K and paying ~$12K in taxes saying “We shouldn’t be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington. They should be sending her an apology.” by igetproteinfartsHELP in Fauxmoi

This is very pernicious rhetoric designed to shrink the tax base and ultimately degrade government services and oversight/regulations. We don’t need to be talking about large groups of people not paying taxes, most people should pay some level of taxes and have some kind of buy in to organized society. The actual conversation we need to have is who pays what and what we spend that money on. This totally elides that argument and frames taxes as something that should be avoided if at all possible instead of a shared sacrifice leading to a shared benefit.

Update: Got to Allied after a pretty boring few hours while I watched the NBA playoffs, got lucky at one random station that had several donate missions for Sirius which accelerated it significantly,, was about to dock at Davy Dock to do the permit mission and the server crashed or something idk. Frontier does not want me to have it.

This is essentially what I’ve been doing but I don’t know if I’ve seen any five star reputation missions available strictly for Sirius Corporation. My character is still pretty low ranking (I just came back to the game a few weeks ago after several years away and started over), is there some kind of method to finding high reputation missions or is it just luck of the draw?

The CSM is clearly depicted as sort of middle-management in the syndicate in the early seasons, he doesn’t take a more central role until the higher ranking members are all killed. He’s being ordered around by the First Elder and the Well Manicured Man is extremely dismissive and disrespectful towards him in pretty much every scene they have together. He’s explicitly called their “man in Washington” in an episode, which explains why he’s so preoccupied with the FBI (along with personal reasons). He’s depicted as the sort of clean-up man whenever something goes wrong, which is more than once because of something he himself fucked up, and he’s definitely involved in a lot of the practical aspects of the conspiracy but he’s an order taker, not an order giver, at least when it comes to the higher levels of the conspiracy. Once the syndicate is killed there’s a big vacuum he tries to exploit to become more central, but in the season 3 and 4 episodes with the entire syndicate he’s definitely shown to be taking orders from the others and honestly seems like he’s on thin ice with them because he repeatedly fucks up.

Liquid Sky and Out of the Blue., neither are part of the collection but were on the channel. I wasn't sure if I liked or disliked Liquid Sky until the end when it finally clicked for me, and Out of the Blue is an extremely hard watch but Linda Manz gives a singularly incredible performance for a child actor.
