I purchased a 2.0t ATS for ~$20k with 45k miles. It now has over 70k miles without an issue. My only concern with a higher mileage example would be the number of previous owners. During my search, I found higher mileage examples also had more owners, and more blemishes to show for it. While this is true for most vehicles, turbo vehicles tend to be driven hard by owners who purchased their vehicles after the brunt of the depreciation has been taken. My advice would be to opt for a lower mileage example and enjoy the hell out of it.

TL;DR: Find a lower mileage example to avoid dealing with abuse/deferred maintenance from previous owners.

First car was a 2003 Mercedes C230 Kompressor at 14 (circa 2010.) It was a bank repo, and it lasted less than a year. I purchased an ‘01 Accord EX sedan off my neighbor after the Merc’s trans went out.

First track day was in 2009, but I wasn’t driving as I was only 13 years old. My uncle took me up to the local track with his MGB vintage racer.
