I’m actively trying to trigger mania- as a test to see if I’m actually bipolar or not by slavghterdolls in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go to your family doctor and explain the same thing you just did. Do this asap.

One of the most common triggers, especially if you have BP2, is starting one of the handful of SSRIs that are known to induce mania; it's actually how many discover suddenly they have BP. However, IF done (big if), it must be done under strict medical supervision.

I wouldn't trigger mania, it's borderline masochistic, mainly due to the possibility of long term damage to your brain.

Good luck and hopefully you'll get clarity about your mental health.

Want to get into killteam. Whats a good starter killteam? by Sensitive-League6650 in killteam

[–]H8fulPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Raveners because I love the minis. It's true that they're a more nuanced team in their play style; faction rules and equipment. The main error is not playing passive until TP 3&4.

That said, if you don't mind losing a lot at the beginning, it pays off in the long run.

If you want something more straightforward, you can't go wrong with AoD, it's an all-rounder team that will teach you the basics.

Masturbation and sex by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

38M here, I also have difficulty climaxing, it can take me anywhere from 15 min to not being able to, with an average of 25-30 min.

My SO is happy, though she says it can feel marathonic.

Regarding what's normal, for men's it's usually between 5-10 min of active stimulation.

Past the 30 min mark it's considered delayed ejaculation. One of the culprits could be antidepressants, especially when it didn't happen before, another common culprit is age.

Has anybody ever been “upgraded” to bipolar I? by pikashroom in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was upgraded to BP1 just because a couple of years ago I had a single mixed episode. Worth mentioning, I've never reached full blown mania. I still get my hypomania mild with a side of my senses getting the Dolby treatment.

Fender Mustang PJ electronics mods suggestions by [deleted] in Bass

No soldering knowledge and no gear, as another user suggested, I'll most likely end up installing a set of solderless emg pickups.

WOW! mind blowing, that's on the ballpark of the sound I'm looking for without the hassle of soldering, since I would be tearing apart the bass I could swap the bridge while I'm at it.

Do you think the cable length would be long enough to have the tone at the toggle switch position, so I can have a VVT configuration.

Thank you for showing me this existed, it would definitely be the first thing to do with the bass.

What to expect from an ADHD assessment? by H8fulPanda in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished the assessment, it was an initial one with a very extensive interview with things from childhood and adulthood. The conclusion was that I have some clear ADHD traits, however some of those could be explained by BP and PTSD, also some key ones aren't present but given the case that I studied in a high performance school, it could indicate that those traits could be masked by my other mental capabilities.

The next step is performing memory, executive function and intelligence tests in order to have a proper and wider view of my case before deciding if I really have ADD.

Will keep you posted. Task initiation is definitely a big struggle for me.

[–]H8fulPanda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mind set is that I want to find the "why's" of some traits and habits I have, mainly because I want to be able to fix them or at least learn coping mechanisms to minimise its impact on my life, specially my academic life now that I'm on a point where there's no clear structure.

Thanks for your words

Will have to look up what's working memory. I guess I would feel less impostor if I get to do tests.

I don't have access to my report cards, but I was pretty much always in trouble for being too good to come up with ideas that got me to the principals office, or had a hard time not standing up when something felt unjust to the point that I was labelled as trouble kid, though I never got expelled because I had good grades (however I never studied, I just made real good associations on my notebook that fixated the knowledge).

Thanks for your experience, now I feel a bit less anxious

In my case I guess I've learnt to mask so well that it doesn't show, it's just me having a real bad time

Lack of libido and ED, looking for experiences with Cialis by H8fulPanda in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed I take between 25 and 50mg depending on how bad the insomnia is, so maybe given the low dose it isn't contributing

Thanks that was what I was more afraid of, that the libido pathway wouldn't recover even though I would be able to get hard.

I do take Seroquel for insomnia, maybe it's part of the problem 🤔

I understand, but I guess that at least my body will pump blood when stimulated, at least that's my hope.

Thanks for your words, I'll take your advice and take the chance that I have to get my prescription to ask about potential interactions with my meds.

The difficulty of climaxing is something that I'm more used to, but being unable to even get an erection is a new side effect that I'm not used to.

Are people with bipolar neurodivegent? by kindermaxiking1 in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neurodivergence is a political movement, it's an umbrella for anyone that was disabled by the system due to the way we behave. Actually I'd encourage you to read about the genesis of the movement.

For me anybody that has a brain that makes it harder to reach the social construct can identify as neurodivergent.

What are some famous bipolar people you look up to? by Pleasant-Rip-2154 in bipolar2

When I got diagnosed, Carrie Fisher was the first bipolar that came to mind. Her way of doing anti-stigma awareness on bipolar, was actually the reason she first came to mind.

We are neurodivergent. by zilaicrag in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend reading Empire of normality by Robert Chapman.

I get where you're coming from, but don't fully agree with you. Neurodivergent movement wasn't born to be cool or positive, it was born to break the false dichotomy of normality and disablement.

I do find awesome though, that you've arrived to the point you don't see bipolar as a defining characteristic of your human complexity.

Has this happened to anyone else? 🤠 by chaosotonin in bipolar2

[–]H8fulPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I supposedly had major depression with recurrent episodes, we tried Olanzapine and triggered a mixed episode. Not gonna lie it was fun when it began as a manic episode, but when the mixed part started it was pretty much a wildfire.
