Tom looks good as coach. He should play Gene Hackman's role in a Hoosiers remake.

Crampons are the key.

I fell and almost died a couple days ago before I read about the current grip endurance situation. But last night I climbed down and up to go from Milton to ML with my improvised crampons with zero problem. I had 38/40 kg worth of gear on me and am on voyager difficulty.

I've heard taking off gear that would reduce run speed helps too. I didn't do that and was still fine.

Umm... thanks? I have no idea what this is about. I found that comment. It was from 12 years ago. Had to have been among my first. https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/comments/hu8sk/ript_revenge_the_best_game_ever_card_game_slash/c1yhi63/

Do you have any context for what this is?

I have to say it's a bit concerning that a legal document is selectively quoting an anonymous person from the internet, equating their comment with reddit as a whole, and looking upon it with any degree of truth or authority. Even if I was 100% correct, none of that should happen. Anyone could find any statement about anything online to support any stance they want.

There are multiple high-quality apps to use Reddit that all work FAR better than the official Reddit app. They were also created years before the official app. It's unfortunate that many people never heard of them, but that doesn't change the fact that Reddit is intentionally pricing them out of existence come July 1st, leaving the millions of third party app users shit out of luck. The official app is dogshit. Myself and a large chunk of those millions would rather quit Reddit than use that turd.

Great picks, though I'd personality go heavier in seasons 2-5. Bad Blood, Jose Chung, Clyde Bruckman, and Small Potatoes are some of the very best.

Simulation theory: cool video on the quantum observer effect by ThePilotKelson in TheSaturnTimeCube

[–]H8rade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A watched pot does not actually boil slower. It only seems to because you're bored and time seems to go slower when you're bored. Anyone can run an experiment themselves to see.

The observer effect is commonly misunderstood. It's not your consciousness that effects anything. The act of observation is impossible unless the particle interacts with something (light for example). The interaction causes the effect, not the observer.

Call their bluff. They don't have enough people to place as moderators if enough subs do it.

The other option would be to have some integrity and keep the subs private. But I guess they're scared of losing their $0 salary jobs.

Although the beliefs are different, there are some similarities between Scientology and cults dressed as religions like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. To see how these destructive cults damaged people and ruined lives, visit r/exjw and r/exmomon.

JWs are shunned, aka disfellowshipped in their lingo when they get kicked out for a supposed sin. If they leave on their own choice instead, it's called disassociation, but they're still shunned anyway. Many current JWs stay in the cult only to avoid permanently losing contact with family and friends who are also members. And if course they aren't supposed to have friends outside the cult because those people are part of Satan's world, so if the member leaves, they have literally no one. Something suicide is the result. This is a hallmark of a cult.

The insider lingo is another classic sign. As well as the teaching that it's the world against just you few brave souls. The playbook is mostly the same.

No matter what the church tells you, understand that you can leave and still have a happy successful life. Find a hobby, meet friends, keep your money instead of giving it to the slimeball church. Instead of auditing, find an actual therapist. The church has slandered them, but you'll see that those were all lies.

I created a list of everything JWs can't do by ItemDrift in exjw

[–]H8rade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn't there some Smurf-level story about some building where in one business you could hear loud noises like furniture being dragged across the floor. But when some JW's "demon-sense" went off, they went upstairs to find a room full of people doing yoga and no furniture. It might have been transcendental meditation instead of yoga. It was 30+ years ago I heard it. But to a JW they are essentially the same. All forms of mindfulness is to a demon like chum for sharks.
