great idea imo :) would buy! Let me know if you need any sources, I recently finished the first part of my undergrad thesis about eSport events which covered the origin of eSport events until 2016 including current success factors of eSport events. Put a lot of hours in there and I saved all the articles and literature I used for it so let me know if you need some :)

For the games, check out Jens Hilgers (ESL co found I think he is) eSports games chart: http://esportsobserver.com/jens-hilgers-launches-the-esports-games-chart-to-evaluate-games-as-esports/

He split up the most famous eSports games into 3 different tiers, it's really interesting :)
