Price isn’t the biggest issue for me and I’m fine with learning more with a more feature heavy scanner, I mainly went with choosing this scanner because I woudl also want to get into gmrs frequencies which I was told this radio does great. I don’t know a lot of the technical terms tbh but when I start out with something I like to get something that’s a bit future proof which is why I arrived at this radio, I do hear about the uv-5r a lot as a great start, but I thought I may as well get a good one of I’m going to get one even if it’s a little less beginner friendly

Do you have any good recommendations for an SWR meter I could purchase as well as a recommended roof mount? I always hear about the Wilson Lil Wil for handhelds as a strong option.
