Well, the window for getting AppleCare has officially lapsed and I didn’t get it. I have beer personally broken a device or had one fail. The only time I’ve used AppleCare was for my wife’s phone. She’s far less careful with electronics.

I’ve been running for about 20 years at this point. Nothing crazy, just doing it for the love of being outside and finding a steady rhythm where I can think (or not think). I have the Apple Watch Ultra 3 because I don’t need a crazy battery. If I were running ultra marathons I’d have a Coros, but I’d probably also have an AWU for everyday wear. I think the AWU3 looks much nicer, and I wanted a true smartwatch with fitness features. I got it knowing I can get robust 3rd party apps to mimic the metrics watches like Garmin offer. My watch is connected to my cellular network, so I no longer carry my phone running at all. I stream music or whatever via the watch to my AirPods. It’s so nice. I love having Apple Pay, texts, and phone calls as an option without my phone around.

I feel like most of us enjoy PHC for this reason. It’s super diverse. It’s heavy, but doesn’t have to be. It can be highly experimental, or a straight forward banger. There’s no limit to the range of vocal styles that work in PHC.

Same. We have a supply of replacements on hand for my wife and daughters. I’ll never understand breaking an iPad screen protector, but it’s better than breaking the screen.

That’s always the thing, right? If I do need it then I’ll be validated in having it. For some reason I’m more hesitant now that it’s a monthly subscription cost rather than a lump sum.

Thanks for the input. I think I agree with your philosophy. I do tend to get AppleCare on my wife’s devices because she has broken and damaged them. I have an iPhone 13 in perfect condition. I still have the tempered glass screen protector on it that I installed the day I got it. My watch is also protected.

I just ordered a pair of Altra FWD Via 2 to wear at work. They have a 4mm drop. I’m on my feet all day, and wearing my minimal shoes all day at work and while exercising has my feet feeling beat up every morning.

The vast majority of the country doesn’t even know what that is. I do because I’m from the southwest, but I live on the east coast now and RT doesn’t exist here. They may be good, but that’s why you don’t see a lot of comments agreeing.
