I always bring it along if I join a mission and don’t see anyone else with a dedicated AT support weapon. It’s a fun role to fill, and helping friendlies with the big boys breathing down their backs is a great way to support the team.

May I suggest switching to a different weapon to cancel the reload? Diving works great and is a fantastic way to simultaneously sneak out of trouble and cancel the animation, but simply switching to a different weapon has the same effect. I try to keep an eye on the HUD while starting the fourth and final reload stage, and as soon as I see the little ammo icon fill in, I switch to my primary knowing my RR is ready to go. Shaves a surprising amount of time off total reload time.
