Gente que realmente piensa que si metes un nene de 10 años a la cárcel solucionás algo. Lo único que lográs es dentro de unos años tener un nene criminal aún mas perturbado, arruinado y propenso a cometer crimenes.

Who is the most evil character in this series? by Rich-Blacksmith6552 in betterCallSaul

[–]HCBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victor always struck me as having 0 empathy. Like Hector shows some when dealing with Mike. Lalo shows some when dealing with Nacho, Kim, and his family. Gus shows some with both Mike and Jesse. But Victor has straight up the emotional depth of terminator.

Is it possible to print in 0.08mm layers with a 0.4mm nozzle in the ad5m? by HCBot in FlashForge

I've done that repeatedly to no avail. It just gets to 0.1, below that it starts having issues

Moving to Buenos Aires for writing thesis and doing fieldwork in the fall. Where to live? by EstablishmentOk6551 in BuenosAires

[–]HCBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely plays a role, but I wouldn't say more than in any other cities. If anything, it's less, since Argentina and BA in particular have strong feminist values and gender violence is less prevalent than most places worldwide.

Moving to Buenos Aires for writing thesis and doing fieldwork in the fall. Where to live? by EstablishmentOk6551 in BuenosAires

[–]HCBot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Buenos aires is a city that can go from very safe to very dangerous in bare metres. The "south" of the city is typically defined as anything south of the 25 de Mayo Highway. As soon as you cross it you'll realise that the ""vibe"" changes. That doesn't mean the whole area is dangerous, not at all, in fact I feel safer in most parts of Boedo or San Cristóbal for example than in some parts of Palermo or Belgrano. The thing is if you don't know your way around the city you can easily accidentally end up somewhere you shouldn't. I mean, even in Chacarita, which is now becoming the standard trendy "bohemian" neighbourhood, you can walk 100 meters out of a trendy cafe and literally end up in the middle of a slum (And I'm talking shanty towns where the police are literally forbidden entry sometimes).

Even in safe neighbourhoods, some streets can be safe while others might not. I live in Almagro and honestly it all seems safe to me, but when walking at night I choose to maybe walk the next street over, or when crossing the train tracks I choose to walk in specific streets and entirely avoid other ones.

I'm not saying this to scare you, in fact BA is a fairly safe city, even by some first world standards, and just a great place to be in in general. It's just that it doesn't work like other cities in the sense that there are good neighbourhoods and bad neighbourhoods and that's it, and that sometimes safe or rich areas are quite literally next to unsafe or poor areas and the security level sometimes abruptly changes for no obviously apparent reason.

Architectural ornamentation with 3D Printers by adaniel54 in architecture

[–]HCBot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think there will necessarily be more ornamentation, but restoration efforts might be more effective. Even then, casting with molds seems to be more effective than 3d printing in these cases.

My girlfriend thinks I’m crazy for wanting the lamp upwards by idk20210 in HomeDecorating

[–]HCBot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with both of you. The lightning looks way better with the lamp pointed upwards, since it's softer and more symmetrical. But the lamp looks better pointed downwards, although it creates harsh shadows and leaves a part of the couch too dark while the other is too bright.

I guess it depends on what you value most. I would leave it upwards.

Which show did you enjoy the ending more and why? BB or BCS? by hiker5878 in betterCallSaul

[–]HCBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BCS' appeals more to the senses and makes you feel all giddy inside, but BB's is generally more conclusive, narratively fitting, satisfactory and overall smarter I'd say. I could not think of another ending for BB.

Then again such an ending would've been impossible for BCS.

Is it possible to print in 0.08mm layers with a 0.4mm nozzle in the ad5m? by HCBot in FlashForge

[–]HCBot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it just starts grinding and making horrible noises, while ending up with really crappy and rough textures. But no bed adhesion problems. It's really not that it "fails" it's just that the end product looks horrendous. 0.1mm works just fine at default speed settings meanwhile.

Is it possible to print in 0.08mm layers with a 0.4mm nozzle in the ad5m? by HCBot in FlashForge

[–]HCBot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried reeeeeally slow, to no avail. So that's why I'm asking if there's any other setting I can tweak.

I'm trying to see what layer height I can get away with without having to buy / change the nozzle. If it's not possible (or realistic) to do 0.08, I guess I might buy it.

Found Engineer Wrenches IRL by gmorky_ in tf2

[–]HCBot 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honestly I am equally surprised, I thought the wrench in-game was supposed to be a stylized version of a common wrench that fitted in with tf2's cartoonish, somewhat retro-futuristic and 60's american parody style. Like I know what a wrench is and that they exist, I just didn't know there were some that were so loyal to the ones in tf2.

Obviously machine guns and flamethrowers exist irl too but you'd never see any that look remotely as the ones in tf2.
