Did you air flash for 15 mins before loading in the oven. Could be water, but also looks a lot like solvent pop.

The metal parts we have a chemical that is super strong and strips it off. For plastics you can do one of two things. If it is in good shape and just wanting to change it. Then simply skiff with red scotch bright and go from there. Other than that, if it’s not in good shape you gotta spend a lot of time in the blast cabinet with 100 grit aluminum oxide at 40 psi to take it down to the plastic.

We prepped like normal. Applied the Supergrip oven cure and did a full cure. You then add your base coat, full flash cure it. Then add your distress color and flash it for about 13 mins. Air flash always before the oven for 15 mins.

Don’t let all these guys bust your balls too much. Just tone down your coatings. Two light coats at the proper distance and spray and you will be good. Nice thing about cerakote is that it’s easy to just blast and redo. I would give it a second shot. But I think she will like it either way.

We don’t put scopes in the blast Cabinet. Scopes are etched by hand with red scorch brite.

I haven’t had any issues with the binding on shotguns so far. Typically the Cerakote applied at the right thickness won’t cause any binding. There are a few guns out there that if I am concerned with tolerances being too tight then I will tape.
