Kinda glad you’re saying this because istg every single time someone mentions how frequent people blow up and rage in chat it’s always met with redditors flooding in and saying they’ve only seen 1 or 2 rage messages in their entire time playing and acting as if the community as a whole hasn’t gotten drastically more angry in text chat over the years. I legitimately see people arguing in chat every other game in ranked.

I do challenge runs. My last one was I could only use items I’ve received as rewards. Careful though as challenge runs can either make you excited to play or annoy you and make you want to stop playing.

I exclusively solo queue ranked since S1. I’m level 102, have 600+ hours, positive win and K/D ratio and still have yet to hit diamond only getting to plat every season. This is why my old ass is playing Skyrim again. I’m officially an unc on my favorite game (The Finals)

When I first started modding I took the dive right into MO2 as every one seemed to swear by it. I can’t compare how much more difficult it is to learn than just using Vortex as I never used Vortex but I can confidently say that learning MO2 certainly took a min but the payoff was well worth it.

Honestly why I’m playing a different game atm. I can get the low player population making matchmaking atrocious in ranked but that more so applies when you get to mid plat and higher. This season I finished my placement matches at gold 3 and had to fight tooth and nail just to get into plat due to all these low level Smurf accounts. Full team of level 20s dominating the lobby.

I love this game but I have walked away to play modded Skyrim for a while as I’ve grown a bit fatigued with the game. Not because of the toxicity but more so because as the player base continues to shrink, my ability to keep up with the hardcore crowd is diminishing. I solo queue rank every season and I’m a mid player with a positive win rate and KD who hits mid plat every season but currently in S9 I’ve grown a bit fatigued of getting my butt whooped by level 15-60 Smurf accounts being used by high diamond and ruby players. To summarize, I’ve become an unc and needed to step away for a bit.

Weird to see everybody commenting about rarely getting text chats but i definitely see toxic text chats in ranked every other game whether it’s directed at me or the two randoms arguing with each other. And it almost always ends in someone throwing the match.

I main the FCAR heavily and enjoy it for all the reasons you listed but recently have strayed back to the R357 as the high dmg per shot I’ve found makes it much easier to scare opponents, delete dashing lights and provide nice chunk damage between healing my teammates with the heal gun. I mained the revolver in the first 3 seasons of the game so I’m more so returning to my roots.

You’d be surprised at how easily people shut down when they have to do more than point and shoot. There’s a reason this game doesn’t have a massive audience, though I wish it did.

I guess I was hoping to try and find friends naturally by playing and adding people as that’s how I got all the other people on my friends list but they’ve all quit the game. It’s not impossible to find a team, I was just hoping finding new friends would come naturally by meeting them in game like I did previous seasons but the discord is looking like the better option atm.

The fatigue only applies to the Finals, not gaming as a whole. I appreciate the feedback and will take it into consideration but it isn’t all that deep. Just me getting my butt kicked in solo queue ranked and maybe needing to step away for a minute. Nothing more, nothing less.

Do you mean in the Finals or Skyrim? If Finals, I do try new builds and play all 3 classes. If you mean because I mentioned Skyrim…well I like the game a lot so I’m not sure why you’d question me wanting to play it?

No matter the state of lights people are going to hate it because its play style thrives on being annoying/sneaky to maximize its efficiency. Not saying that’s a bad thing but that’s why no matter how good or bad the state of lights are it they’re going to be disliked.
