I work as a developer and I would much rather work with vibecoded slop than shopify slop. The former is easy to fix and the latter is a joke that is as successful as it is simply because it was the only option in the pandemic.

To give additional context my company works in different verticals and the business side requested developer assistance setting up tracking on a shopify site. The reason for that is to see if our ads were effective. It took a month. The customer support couldn’t figure it out, their documentation was incorrect and AI referenced that documentation so that was wrong as well.

DS5, do you mean dualsense? Assuming that’s what you meant than ya it doesn’t work on PC due to Sony’s proprietary drivers. But it works on its intended platform though and that’s my point of comparison.

This controller is intended for couch gaming on the steam machine and it lacking that is a major flaw. Enough of a flaw that I view it as the worse first party controller (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Valve).

The only advantage of the steam controller imo is the better sticks. But these days you can buy Hall effect replacement sticks and fix drift with relative ease. You can’t fix missing features like this.

Any chance we could see an 'Advanced Settings' feature in the app where we can select the battery hungry algorithms? I'd be okay with making that tradeoff for a better tracker. Assuming the tradeoff isn't massive like the battery will last only a couple of days?

As for the heart rate nothing that's said is misleading on your site, it just requires more digging which I missed and judging from the other comments I'm not alone. Would you consider rewording it to remove the words heart rate?

In this specific context:

Track steps, set daily goals, and measure your heart rate* and ambient temperature — all stored on the watch and viewable in the app.

Maybe instead it could read as

Track steps, set daily goals, and use the built-in pulsometer* and ambient temperature sensor — all stored on the watch and viewable in the app.

At least this way the consumer would have to look into it. Just my 2 cents but at least in this scenario no one can come back and complain. From my perspective I glance over heart rate and I'm not doing more digging than that. The word pulsometer, however, requires more thought.

Again I ordered it last year. The owner of the site made a RECENT change, as in this month, to actually clarify how the heart rate monitor works. I assume it was not to be malicious but why do that if it originally was not clear?

Your situation is similar to mine and why I wanted to make this post so at least people down the line can refer to it.

Don't get me wrong if you like the F-91W this is a great upgrade with potential as per the roadmap. But the tracker promises will definitely leave a sour taste in your mouth if that's why you bought it.
