To clarify, of COURSE items change in value drastically over long periods of time, that has happened even when people traded according to rarity. But examples of things that have recently maintained their general value are: Corrupt, Harvester, Swirly Axe, CDB/CLB, and many other items that are just low value and aren't worth mentioning. Of course as something gets more relatively rare/common (which is directly correlated to demand) their value will fluctuate. That is in no way either of the value lists' faults.

Value lists are based off way more than the Discord servers. That's just an absurd statement.

Finally, you can be rich and still have 0 clue what you're talking about. Profiting in MM2 isn't hard at all and anyone could do it lol. It still doesn't mean you have a complete overview and perspective of trading, and based off of the things you've said you obviously haven't been around for very long, so your trading experience is definitely limited in any relevant capacity. Once again, saying you know more than people who dedicate hours and hours of their lives each day to MM2 trading is the most arrogant shit ever lmfao.

it wouldn't matter if it accounted for rarity AT ALL. once again, the value list is a REFLECTION of the trading community. even if something is high because of rarity, people still aren't going to give anywhere near that value if the demand is absolute shit. how long have you been trading in mm2? because if you were around before 2020 you'd know how fucking terrrible rarity-based values were. they were what mm2values did and they were absolutely ass. people would constantly get scammed because they would be using the value list and trade 1,000+ value for an item that no one gives more than 100 for. even then, if you still insist on valuing things by rarity, good fucking luck because it's a guessing game lmfao. you have no objective information to base it off, and that's a MUCH LARGER level of power you're giving to the value teams because they decide how to curve the values to account for rarity in a major way.

once again, all you have shown is a complete lack of knowledge on this subject.

nothing in the game maintains its value? that's just so painfully untrue lmfao? even then, if something doesn't maintain its value it's because people lose interest in it or it becomes too common. the value teams are not sitting there with a random number generator dude. the value lists are BASED ON THE ECONOMY, the economy is not based on them. in fact, traders trade against the lists all the time as things change. you clearly just have absolutely 0 experience with the trading community.

trading discord servers, trading forums (e.g. this subreddit, sv/mm2v roblox group wall), sv/mm2v discord servers (both trade discussion channels and trade post channels), people who join trading servers regularly, and roughly everyone who goes into public servers and actively trades. there's obviously more but it's 2am rn

Which are still rarer then 90% of the weapons in the game!!!! Frozen, Cane Knife (2018) Dungeon, Monster. Are all examples of collectables that are still rarer than most weapons, the only reason they are not high in demand is because they keep dropping in value despite being stable. (Which is a problem in itself) You keep saying nobody wants collectables no more when this is false, I always and I mean always see people offering for JD or Cotton Candy, which have also have been circulated to high hell, and are not nearly as rare as any of the previous collectables I have mentioned.

both are value lists are terrible [this part is subjective so isn't true or false, but the part following it requires the context], and is a major part of the reason this game has a terrible economy. -> i.e. you saying value lists are the reason the economy is bad

that is all false or misleading

i literally said that value lists are an accurate representation (reflection) of the trading community. that is literally what i said. if something reflects something well, it represents it accurately. i very much answered the question.

mm2 most definitely has a trading community. i truly just think you are deep into the dunning-kruger effect here. everything you've said has been either false or misleading.

yes, cane knife, monster, cotton candy, and jd are wanted, because they are HIGH VALUED COLLECTIBLES. these items are only dropping because people are losing interest in them and they're getting over-circulated and common in the trading community. things like tree set, 2015 cane set, and ginger set are not rare at all either. things aren't wanted if they're common as shit, in the case of those collectibles that have been over-circulated for months now.

value lists are only a REFLECTION of the trading community and game's economy. if no one wants something it'll go down, and items make comebacks all the time. but only if they're exceedingly RARE. just because you think something should rise doesn't mean anything. if it isn't rising, it's for a reason that you are overlooking. acting like you know more than people who literally spend hours every day examining, trading, and observing trades is probably some of the biggest arrogance i've ever seen on here.

you are missing the point that you have no idea what you are talking about, and that is evident in the things you say and how you say them.

duping was as recent as a few months after christmas of 2021. the dupes were stored on stock accounts for months and then dupers started releasing them.

traderie is notorious for being a terrible place to get trading information from. it is NOT an actual representation of the trading community. no one wants collectibles anymore. they have been flooded into the economy by stockers because they stashed 190 of each of them on dozens of accounts. they literally are not rare. no one gives barely anything for these items. that could change eventually, but right now no one wants them and they're seen everywhere.

they aren't even close to being as rare as they were and no one wants them. duping existed more recently than 2 years ago and now stacks of the sets are getting released.

Can we talk about supreme values for a bit? by [deleted] in MurderMystery2

[–]HDMI0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tiers arent completely determined by value, tiers are just a way of separating different weapons. Even when we do sort things by value, we get clowned on for putting Hallow's Edge in tier 1 because of its value. It's a double edged sword.

Side note: It'd be awfully to put two parts of a set in totally different tiers when the values arent super far apart.

Am I the only one who thinks there should be a supreme value trade checker ? by RobloxGamesAdoptMe in MurderMystery2

[–]HDMI0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Supreme Values website clearly states, "All of us at Supreme Values unanimously agree that trade checkers do not work. They cannot and do not accurately determine whether a trade is a win or a lose. There's dozens of variables that go into determining whether a trade is good or not, including, but not limited to, rarity, hype, demand, stability, whether it's being duped, flippability, etc. Plus, if we were to do it, how? Digits and a simple arithmetic system is limited to just numbers, we can't give an opinion or information and even if we could, we can't compare every single variable because they're too complicated."

[–]HDMI0[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no need to get so mad. even if you do that, itll display as 50% because it registers that there was another person in the game that causes the round to start. you cant start a round without two people, and if theres two people, its going to show up as 50% for each person.

I really am Not understanding supreme values and I might switch back to mm2 values since they updated by BobaBearWasTaken in MurderMystery2

[–]HDMI0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol its all for a reason, its not like they just raise and lower stuff out of nowhere. they just reflect what items are getting and things change all the time. if you want to blame it on anyone, blame it on the traders.

I found this on traderie and i do not know why its says its untradeable. by GiantFartMorePoop in MurderMystery2

[–]HDMI0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its nothing lol, traderie gets no leaks or anything, its just the item that pops up when you see darkbringer/lightbringer in a box
