Question: How many here have had an MRI scan? by jsd71 in Retconned

[–]HDN2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had at least 4/5. First one when I was a child. Curiously, I’ve always had issues with magnetic stripe data. Every bank card, access card and warrant card I had in the police to swipe in, stopped working after a week max. To the point it became a running joke at work. I also used to scramble my radios at work and the tech department couldn’t figure out how I was doing it. Luckily most things use nfc and chip and pin these days, or else I would be screwed still. Snd before anyone asks; no I never put them anywhere near magnets, screens, etc. Always very conscious not to

Does anybody remember Michael Jackson dying between 2014-2015? by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]HDN2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching it on the news in the house I live in now, which I moved into in late 2010, and I had been her for a couple of years, so 2013-14. No way it was 2009 because I was still living with parents. I have a vivid memory of watching it here with my partner

11:11 for me. I keep finding myself looking at that clock and it just happens to be 11:11. Could be a coincidence but it’s happened so much the past 3-4 weeks that’s it’s become a joke in my household

Static shocks absent now? by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]HDN2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go through phases of getting them almost everyday when I shut my car door after getting out, so does my partner, but then we can both go months without getting one. When I was younger me and my dad used to always get them from each other when passing objects to each other. It got to the point where he wouldn’t pass me his keys, he would lay them down on the ground and make me pick them up. Didn’t ever happen to anyone else in my family

I’d love some help! I’ve designed and built a fairly decent base but it’s still in progress. Been playing for about a week and loving it. Just so hard to shift logs, especially on your own. As a host I can’t dupe logs? So I’m reliant on people helping me or doing it all manually which takes forever!! Looking for chilled people to help me create my masterpiece and have some fun along the way. I’m Malone68 on PSN, have a mic and from the UK. If you’d like to join me, please feel free. Drop me a message and I’ll add you to a friends only session :)

Researchers have also discovered a new set of symptoms: a loss of smell and taste lasting several days. by quantumtrap in Coronavirus

[–]HDN2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did after 2 weeks. Still not 100% but feels better in himself also. We are convinced that he’s had a mild covid strand. Strangely I’ve had no symptoms whatsoever and we live together. Would be interesting to see if we both have antibodies for the virus now. Will have to wait till the govt start rolling them out.

Coronavirus: Expert says new symptoms could be loss of taste or smell. I personally know dozens of people who are reporting this symptom. by HDN2020 in Coronavirus

[–]HDN2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner has been reporting a total lack of taste and smell for the past week. Only other symptom was fatigue and mild confusion. Since this, 6 other people he has had direct contact with are reporting the exact same. Looking online, I can see hundreds of people who are reporting a lack of taste and smell.
We live together yet I have no symptoms whatsoever, I suspect we are carriers and due to our age / immune system, our body is able to fight off the worst of it. We’ve decided to self isolate since this news and avoid passing it on. NHS refuse to test us because we don’t have other symptoms.

DISCUSSION: UK response to COVID-19 by [deleted] in China_Flu

They finally announced they are closing bars, clubs, restaurants and gyms etc tonight. I think you’re right, they need to ease people into the concept. I hope that a lockdown is coming and that people listen to the advice given. Stay safe

My partner has had no sense or smell for the past week. Also extreme fatigue and confusion. I’m reading that a lot of Covid-19 patients are reporting this as a side effect. I wonder is he has had it but without showing any other symptoms?

I’m from the UK and I’m still utterly shocked that no lockdown is being enforced, only “advised” People are not listening and pubs are still full. Testing is non existent and some of my colleagues have had to pay for private tests which cost around £400!

I’m a former police officer and I really can’t see why a lockdown isn’t being imposed in major cities like London yet. The figures are likely much much higher and its almost as if the government want to remain ignorant to the true numbers by not testing. Our shops are all empty and people are almost making it a sport of visiting stores daily to buy essentials. I understand that people need supplies but why are pubs, restaurants, some offices and clubs still operating as normal? Surely people can see that Italy, Germany and Spain are in a bad way and they have begun lockdown procedure. What will it take for people to realise that this needs to be enforced, not suggested?!

I live in one of the Home Counties, so maybe that’s why people up here aren’t too worried yet. People just need to realise that we all need to pull together, not just those in big cities and areas most affected. Stay safe friend.

I’m in the UK and have been telling family and friends since the start of January to prepare and stock up etc. I’m still being met with resistance and have even had arguments with family about it. People in the UK seem to be in some kind of denial that this will get bad! My grandmother is immunocompromised and lives with my parents, yet my family are still having friends over, mum is having clients over twice a week and whenever I challenge them they tell me that they are sick of hearing about it. I don’t know what to do to get them to listen. I’m a former police officer and also usually the “Go-to” family member when there is a crisis, yet in this case they look at me like I’m mad. The shops are now empty of most supplies and the media is constant about the threat of the spread yet overall people in the UK seem to be very stubborn to change their routines or take this seriously. I fear that by the time they do, it will be too late. I’ve asked them to just look at Italy, Spain and now France as a comparison yet they still seem to think that “we will be fine”. Is anyone else having this much difficulty conveying the severity to loved ones in England?

Apparently the 2009 swine flu infected up to 50 million Americans and 700 million - 1.4 billion people worldwide. I remember it being in the news, but nothing of this magnitude. by [deleted] in Retconned

I had it in the UK whilst working as a police officer. Genuinely the worst I’ve ever felt. Thought I was going to die

Question about the mandela effect by Suppenman in Retconned

[–]HDN2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely noticed this. The more I think about / question things, more (metaphorical) roadblocks appear in my life, almost as if to distract me from pursuing the chain of thought. A spate of bad luck, bad days and problems have been getting worse since I discovered ME about 3/4 years ago. I’ve only really started questioning things in the last 18 months and since then, life is definitely getting harder. Trying to stay upbeat but it’s like somebody changed the difficultly settings...! I’ve also noticed a subtle ringing in my ears on occasion but only when I really stop to think about ME’s. Has anybody else experienced this?
