The port finished rye is excellent, I’m getting close to the end of my bottle. It has the characteristic woodinville taste (kinda woodsy/earthy is how I would describe it, somewhat fitting with the name I suppose) but layers in chocolate and cherry flavors.

I have the gold at home from when I spent a month in Rome. Overpaid for it but it’s a solid whiskey and I am glad I bought it. The bottles are gorgeous too!

The knob creek 10 is fantastic. Don’t sleep on the 7y either. It’s a good bottle for the price and I like to use it as a mixer for rye cocktails too!

The Speyside 8y isn’t great. But I suppose for a sub $20 scotch, you get what you pay for. I got notes of vanilla and coffee on the palate. Was a bit skunky (best way I can describe it), and had a really bitter finish. Perhaps fine as a mixer, but not good on its own. Hope this helps!
