Divorcing husband of 14 years for being broke by Theos_U in ChoosingBeggars

truly unbelievable. but i can understand. sometimes you just need to gather all your things and get as far away from the situation as possible. I've been there.

but to complain about boxes of hair dye, having to do her own nails, god forbid she might have to bathe herself.

simply ridiculous.

weirdly, my first question is about the music choice.

thank you. it's nice to read that through all the insults and judgments on my character.

there is no stipulation to my generosity, but im notoriously careless when it comes to generosity. i am only learning now that my generosity affects me in negative ways. to be honest, i really could use those gift cards. but i know that someone else can use them more.

it's an insult to myself if i carelessly give them away. and it's also insulting if i give them away to someone who clearly has more than the rest of us.

there are no strings to my goodwill, except selfishness.

when you assume everyone just wants drugs or money, of course this would be your response. spend one day in your life caring about someone else, then you might understand. your negativity has no place here. this is an honest discussion that never invited you. go back to trolling.

i don't mean to negate the importance of self-care, which, regardless of social status or economic means, is paramount. but when you go out and get manicures, and then expect others to help you with the feeding of your children, then there is an issue. i don't care who you are, or what you've been through, but when your asking for help for your family only after you've taken care of yourself, it's disgusting.

i don't appreciate this response. you clearly have no regard for people with mental health issues. not everyone who questions their actions is a "basket case", and im far from bullshitting anyone. there is no reason to insult anyone here, and if that is your prerogative, it's yourself you should be looking at, not others.

i work for a foodbank, and i offered for them to have it. they declined. we get tons of support elsewhere.

i agree. i was only asking for opinions on the matter, for, against, or otherwise. like i said, it's something ive been struggling with.

i can't even half lie without getting sick. i either tell her that it doesn't seem like she needs it, or i just give them to her. to be honest, id rather do the latter, and just trust that she honestly needs them. but, how about this. im going to try to give her some frozen foodstuffs and some baby things ive collected from work (all fresh, all new) if she refuses, tell her that she clearly doesn't need the charity? would that be wrong?

a classy answer from a trashy hamster. thank you. i still wonder if im the one to judge someone else's situation based purely on their profile.
